Today Could Not Get Any Worse

"You're what?" I asked as the words registered. I could not have heard that right.

"I'm moving to England, tomorrow," Ellise, my girlfriend of two years, said without a trace of emotion on her pale, steely face.

"Why did you wait to tell me the day before you leave?"

"You know I'm not comfortable with emotions and in two years you haven't figured out how to lessen yours."

Lessen my emotions?! Most chicks are more than happy when a guy shows that he has any damn emotions! "Fine, goodbye, I hope you have a blast in your new life." And find a living statue like yourself.

She walked inside and kicked the door shut without so much as a glance back. My hands flew to my hair and gripped the silver tipped locks as tears edged at my eyes. There goes two fucking years of my life.

"Dude, what the hell?!" I yelled over the blaring music in my dorm that was unfortunately also where my frat loved to throw parties.

"I threw a party! I figured you'd end up staying over at Ellise's!" Calum slurred as random people bumped into us and offered us unknown drinks. The look on my friend's face alone told me to be prepared for a hungover Hood tomorrow.

"Just don't do anything dumb," I sighed," and so help me if there is a couple in my bed I will kill you myself."

I pushed my way through the mess of drunk teenagers and young adults until I was in the safety of my bedroom. I was too worn out to even think about taking a shower, so I just put on my pajama pants and fell into bed.

I rolled over sometime in the night and felt another body next to mine. I jumped out of bed and prayed that the whole Ellise thing was a dream. She stayed over for the night. You just had a nightmare. I wish that had been the case.

I rolled the person over onto their back when I saw that they were clothed. It was a badly beaten up girl with silver hair. She was covered in scratches that ranged from harmless to a few that were bad enough to make me woozy. I knew Calum would be blackout drunk by now so I ran to get a first aid kit in order to fix up some of the girl's wounds.

Huu...ha,huu...ha,huu...ha, How long have I been running? How far away am I? Are they even still after me? Of course they are, they always are.

I climbed through the window of a frat house after noticing the party. They would never risk being caught that damn stupidly. After a quick look around and a pill to rid myself of that horrible beer stench I fell face-first on a bed and passed out.

"Ahh shit!" was the first thing I heard when I came to. I had felt hands on me and my instant reflex was to knock-out whoever was touching me. I jumped out of the bed only to fall into the strangers arms on the verge of blacking out again.

"Hey, you need to rest babe. You look like you've been through Hell," the stranger said calmingly as he dragged his hand over my matted hair. When I looked up to see my unknowing protector I was captivated by beautiful green eyes and silver hair. The blood coming from his now crooked nose was the only thing that broke me from my trance.

"Oh man, I am so sorry about that." He only flinched a tiny bit as I checked to ensure I hadn't broken it.

"Gotta say, you've got a hell of a punch for such a small build." We laughed as he set me back on the bed and finished bandaging some of my wounds.
