Leaving The House

I woke up with a disturbed mind because of the roof. There's a hole in it and water fell in to my face and it woke me up. I sat on the bed for a moment and thought and thought, I was supposed to go some where today but I'm not sure about it weather it was one of dreams or real because I like to dream.
Oops! Another water drop fell into me and woke me up from my fantasy.
"Get up, and get ready so quick Mr. Lawrence is coming on his way to take you" my mother said it with an anxious voice.
Yeah now I remember it is today that I'm going to live in the town with Lawrence family. I jumped off from the bed and went to the well to wash my face. Then I wore my best suit and packed some clothes. I was ready and waited out side till they come.
It was so cold out side as it was winter. The bloody wind made me more nervous.
"Lucy, come and eat some bread" my mother shouted from the kitchen. I ran to her and ate some bread and then I saw tears in my mother's face. "Oh mama why are you crying? I'll be back soon no need to be worry and you have little brother with you after all". She didn't say anything but she held my hand and kissed me hand. For the first time after a long time I felt so happy with my family.
I have to go there and help them to do their household work because of the poverty in our house and more than anything my father is a useless drunkard who always disturb me, my little brother and my mother. I gave up going to school few months ago but I really wanted to go there. It was the only place where I could be happy with friends.
Beep! Beep!
"Oh they are here, they are here my mother ran out side and I took my bag and said goodbye to my little brother and came out slowly like a creeping snail.
Mrs. Lawrence throw me a friendly smile and asked me to get in. I hugged my mother so tied and got in to the car which was kinda new thing to me. I was fascinated by all these modern technology. "Don't worry she'll be alright" said Mrs. Lawrence and handed over some money to my mother. "Goodbye..... be good to them and work well okay" my mother adviced me and Waved her hand until we disappear in the windy road. All the time I was speechless. May be I have fell a sleep.
"Lucy get up we are almost there" someone woke me up and it was Mrs. Lawrence. She seemed to be really nice. I answer her back with a smile and got down from the car with my bag. It was such a huge house I haven't seen such a big house even in my dreams. Mrs. Lawrence recognized me to a lady called Mrs. Pots. She was the head of the servants in the house. Mrs. Pots showed me a room, it was small but thousand time better than my bloody bedroom.
I was fascinated by its beauty. I was so tired so I slept.
