This is true. As paranormal as it seems, this is true. This story has been taken from me at age 13-14 when I started to spend more time in my room alone and in the dark. These are some things I would see in there. There will most likely be no more parts to this, and if any, not many.

Many relish in the belief they have me all figured out. I am a "typical teen". One who locks herself in her room at night, not caring about my family, or at least choosing not to show it. This inaccurate shit is what makes me want to believe it's true. My story is far different. This night, of December 24th, I have seen more life than should be expected when I am supposedly alone. The shadows are not the only things moving around me. While they come out of curiosity, I fear that the screams to be heard at nightfall are appearing on different terms. I fear there is a presence in my room, revealing itself night after night. One who has a story, yet realizes that I may not be ready to bear the full weight of knowledge. It's presence is announced to me by an involuntary shiver and a trip to the past. I rarely see these visions during consciousness, though. These arrive with an abrupt loss of sanity as I see visions of what is presumably one's past. A former me, I do not know. They all tell a story. Each night one unfolds to me. Most classify as nightmares, but I still do not fear them. I have seen the darkest pits of Hell, yet the feeling that lingers is not one of dismay. I feel as though I have been recognized as what I am, and have been praised for this. That something entrusted me, out of all members of my house, to keep the secret of it's existence. This is why I do not go into detail about what I have seen. Not that I could describe the emotions triggered through this series of events, even if I wanted to. Shadows dance around my room, taking on different shapes. Sometimes of the nostalgic times of childhood. Sometimes of what I can only assume are of times to come. Often randomly, allowing me to progress in my knowledge, but not without difficulty. Also, not all be happy, some being of desperate and, albeit rare, times of loneliness. I saw what is yet to come in not only my life, but my families. These pieces connect and interlock to form what is bound to be my future life. These shadows, these dreams, these images, help me realize that there is a reason to be living. That my life has been planned, whether consensual or not. That I will be a part of something, something that the others in my room could not quite accomplish. That they are here to guide me, and to teach me from their mistakes. We all have a common goal in here, and they want it as much as I do. The key to defeating the silence is to embrace the sound, even if you do not want to know what it has to say. This may well be why I was chosen. While I may not want to know what my room has to say, I still silence myself and listen. I take what I can, and believe that as my life unfolds I will look back on those nights and thank them for molding me into what I am soon to be. I do not believe they will ever leave, but their stories are far better than the all encompassing silence associated with darkness.

Tell me what you think. I take criticism very well, considering how much of a liar I sound like I am right now.
