Christmas. The grown couple sat on the couch, a digital fireplace looped on a laptop, which sat on the wooden table in front of them. The girl was beautiful, with long, curly brown hair and light green eyes. She was very good with keeping money in check, and was equally intelligent, on her way into the psychiatric line of work. The male meanwhile hadn't much good about him. He was aggressive, ill in mind, and a bum who stayed at home and did nothing but fear the world. He also wasn't a 'certified male' yet, a pre-op transboy who hadn't quite changed his name, either. This boy had medium-short length blue hair, plain brown eyes, and no binder at the moment, allowing his cup size to show what gender was physically beneath the baggy clothing. Though with all this, they were known to be well appreciative of each other, a strong love with only a few slumps. This night would not have one.

"Madeline?"

"Yeah?"

There was a pause as the male finished chewing the skin from his lip- a nasty habit of his. "You're having a good Christmas, right?"

"Mhm."

"Bon..." Another habit: mixing French and English. He'd developed it after he'd done it in his online style for a few years.

"What's wrong?" Madeline asked, almost in an automated fashion.

"Nothing, really! I.. just hope you don't mind, I didn't give you all your gifts yet."

The girl quirked a brow, curious. "Oh?"

"Well, see, I wanted to, um, save it for the end of the night, you know? I thought it'd be special. Though it's probably not actually that great... I still hope you like it."

"Elijah, I tell you every year no matter what you do for me, I'm fine," the woman sighed, watching her boyfriend fidget.

There was that face, the one he never knew he made unless someone pointed it out. It was truly sad, like someone had told him horrible news. She hated that look. "I know, je suis désolé."

"It's okay, you don't have to apologize."

"Non, non... Um, let me.. go get the present. Okay? Wait here. Please." The awkward little male scurried off, leaving Madeline to herself for only a few minutes. They were enough to zone just a bit.

When the male returned, he held a large present, wrapped in a rather mediocre way, lumpy and with random patches of paper and tape here and there. Underneath might've been a rectangular shaped item. With it in both hands, he sat next to her again, this time facing her and sitting with his legs up criss-cross style. "Open it." Already, his mood had swung once again, Elijah now a bit excited and happy.

The female chuckled, taking the present. "Okay, okay~."

She easily found gaps for her fingers to slip in and tear apart, and with each section of discarded material, she'd hand it to the boy to hold, knowing he couldn't stand the mess. In short time, a painting of a red dragon was revealed, background that of purple-ish, steaming rocks. It wasn't the best, but the artist tried, surely.

"Is it okay? I know I'm shit at art, but-," Elijah started to say, nervous.

"You're gay, I love it. It's going on the wall in the bedroom."

"Really?"

"Mhm. It'll be pretty snazzy."

The boy practically giggled, overjoyed to hear it. In fact, he put the garbage on the table and gave her a big hug, face pressed to her shoulder. "Merci Mommy, merci!" Kinky little shit.

"Of course, baby~," she hummed with a chuckle, petting his hair and setting the canvas to the side. He didn't let many people touch his hair, but she was one of the lucky few who could, and who made him calm down by doing so.

They stayed silent like this for a little while, and soon shifted to lay down together on the couch, his smaller frame on hers, sort of clinging like a koala.

"I'm not crushing you, am I?"

"Nah," Madeline replied with a slight shake of her head.

"Really? Are you sure?"

More reassuring comments followed. There was a thanks, and again, more silence. They often had cycles of this, talking and then having a drop. Even so, they didn't mind. Silence could be a good thing when the right comforts were around.

"Madeline?"

"Mm?"

"..You're beautiful."

"Naah."

"Madeline, please?" Elijah looked up through his lashes, brows pressed together to show his distress at her denial of the compliment.

"Mmmnnn, but noooo." Though mostly the mature one, she had her silly moments.

The male shook his head. "I think you are, and it's just one of the reasons I feel so lucky to have you." Honestly he's a sap. He might cry.

"Stoooop, pshsh."

"Madeline." That was more of a whine.

"Maybe just for tonight~." Fucking tease.

There was a pause, then the male leaned up a bit from her chest where his head laid, moving a hand onto her shoulder so he could kiss her. She hesitated just a moment, but returned it. They were always so awkward and weren't the best couple for contact, however it could happen. It was sweet, very light and gentle in motion. Though the kiss did not last too long.

When Elijah had pulled away, he smiled shyly at his girlfriend, and she returned it, albeit a tad flustered.

"Will you extend it to a week now?"

"Hahah, nope."

"Dammit."

Merry Christmas, West! I hope that little story was alright! I tried to make it like something that'd happen in the future when we meet, as close to reality as I could. I know it wasn't my best work, but ey, it was sweet. Funny end, maybe? Please give me something, pfft. Anyways, again, I'm sorry I couldn't buy you anything nice again this year, but I'll try next time! If not, maybe if you liked this, you have something that probably won't be destroyed, and you can look back on whenever you feel like it? I hope that's the case. That's what I meant it for, anyways.

Have a great holiday, baby girl. I love you so much. You're my world. <3
