Chapter Six

*Next Day*

Kaiyah's POV ~

Last night was... different. Don't get me wrong I had fun it was just that Devin made me feel... weird. Gosh I'm so confused right now, but what I do know is that I can't stop thinking about him. And I don't like it. I'm never like this when it comes to guys, I think I'm loosing it. I called Sisi so the she can give me some advice.

S: Wassam guuuuu!

K: Sisi I need your heeelp.

S: Uh oh, okay c'mon tell me what's wrong.

K: Okay you know how Devin took me out yesterday, right?

S: Yeah yeah.

K: Well I'm thinking and I'm so confused, I'm slipping girl!

S: Well boo, it sound like you like this Devin.

K: I don't want to like him though!

S: I know, you ain't been in a relationship in a minute. And I know what you been through, but Kai you can't be single forever, you have to move on.

K: It's really hard Sisi.

S: I know girl, but maybe he's the one.

K: But what if he's not and I get hurt again. I swear Sierra if I go through another heartbreak I don't know what imma do.

S: You just have to try. If you keep this up you never gonna get your man. And if he's not the one then my door is always open, we can cry together, and then go find you another man haha.

K: Haha thanks Sissy, you always know what to say, you the beeest!

S: And you know this! haaaaan.

After me and Sisi got done talking I had to get to work. I work for this big company called Lance's Marketing. We are the business that owns other businesses. It's a lot of work but I love it, plus the money is crazy!

*At Work*

I am my bosses secretary so my desk is right outside his door. I answer all of his calls, make all his appointments, well I do everything for him.

"Hi I'm here for a meeting with Lance." A voice said as my head was down and I was writing notes. The voice sounded really familiar, but I just brushed it off and kept my focus on my paper.

"And what is your name?"

"Devin Sanders."

I cannot believe he is at my job! Is he stalking me? I almost dropped my mouth open!

"Devin?" I said as I lifted my head up slowly.

"Well I guess that wasn't a goodbye, it was a see you tomorrow." Devin giggled.

"I guess. Lance is in his office." I said pointing to his door.

"Ha, okay ma." He said as he walked in.

I didn't mean to come off rude, but he side blinded me. What is he even doing here? I don't remember booking an appointment under his name. Can he just leave already. So he's a business man? Is he related to my boss? I hope Lance doesn't call me in there. So many thoughts were running through my mind that I had to go to the break room.

Devin's POV ~

I'm really shocked that Kaiyah works here, so shocked that I wasn't paying attention...

"Mr. Sanders, Mr. Sanders. "

"Oh! I'm sorry, yes sir this shoe store is going to be huge. I have big plans for this place Mr. Robinson."

"I'm glad you do son, because for a young man like yourself you are very successful. Owning more than fifteen businesses and having those businesses in half of the U.S. And on top of that those businesses are doing an amazing job, all up and running. Son I like the way you work."

"Well thank you sir, I really appreciate it." I said kind of blushing, it's an honor being recognized by a mogul like him.

"Haha, your welcome Mr. Sanders. And my answer is yes, I would love to be a part of your next big step."

"Oh thank you sir so so much! See you soon." I said shaking his hand.

"Your welcome and see you soon."

And with that I left. I was hoping to see Kaiyah when I walked out but she wasn't at her desk. As I was making my way out I passed the break room and saw Kaiyah. I walked in.

"What are you doing in here?" She asked.

"Obviously to see you." I responded.

"Well you've seen me." She said as she was about to walk out the door.

"Wait," I said as I grabbed her hand.

"Since we've met each other again then this must be a sign."

"A sign of what?" Kaiyah said then snatched her hand out of mine.

"That me and you are ment to be."

"Ha, your funny, but I have to get back to my desk."

And with that she walked out. But it's okay I'll be back tomorrow...

*I know this is a crappy chapter. I just wanted y'all to know what there careers are and stuff like that. This is my first time writing, well typing since 2008 so I'm rusty, but bare with me, I will get better :)*
