My soccer boots? Checked. An extra shirt? Checked. Seems like I got everything.

"Going for training now?"

"Oh hey Jerica." I looked up."Yeah. As always."

"Alrights." She said."See you tonight then. You didn't forget about tonight didn't you?"

"Of course not." I laughed."How could I?"

I grabbed my bag and stood up."See you tonight then!"

"See you." She waved at me.

I shot her a smile before heading towards the field. My heart was pounding so hard not because of the unbearable heat that awaited me but what awaited me tonight.

"Hey come on Summer!" Lizzy shouted from the field."You're late!"

"Coming!" I ran to the side of the field, got changed into my boots and headed to the field.

Soccer was my first love. I have three older brothers who all love soccer well that's because of my Dad who loves soccer too.

I, being the only girl of the four children, came to love soccer too. Mom didn't play the sport but she was really knowledgeable when it came to the rules and all.

Soccer became a family sport and we would bond over this. But ever since my brothers moved to London to study, we stopped.

Dad and Mom focused more on their work to support the family especially my three brothers' education in London.

I decided to stay here to keep my parents company and that's not bad at all though I miss George, Paul and Danny greatly.

"Heads up!" I shouted as I kicked the ball to Lizzy.

Lizzy Holland was my pal since middle school along with Jerica, we were the inseparable trio.

Today was the first Wednesday of the month and that meant movie night at Jerica's.

We came up with this when we were still in middle school. Firstly, it was because we thought we wouldn't have time during high school for each other so we used this as a time for a gathering. Secondly, it was a chance for me to see him.

Who does him refer to? That would be Joshua Daniels, the twin brother of Jerica.

It was a well known fact between the three of us that I had a crush on Joshua ever since I first saw him at Jerica's place.

It was not because he had those dreamy blue eyes or that wonderful smile but I think it was just something else.

Joshua did not attend the same middle school as the three of us and he stayed with his Dad in Texas while Jerica stayed with her Mom right here in Oklahoma.

But ever since their Dad and Mom patched things up, they moved back here and right now he's in the same high school as me.

"Great game!" I clapped my hands together before turning to Lizzy to whisper,"Let's get going!"

"Alright alright!" She answered."But coach hasn't released us!"

"Erm.." I bit my lip."Come on!"

Dragging Lizzy along with me as I walked to coach, I took a deep breath before saying,"Coach. Are we done for today?"

"What's the problem, Summer?" Coach placed her hands on her hips - and that's not a good sign.

"Erm..we gotta go." I replied nervously.

"To where? If I may ask." Coach questioned."You seemed really anxious."

"Coach. Every first Wednesday of the month we have this-"

"Oh I get it, Lizzy. The gathering that you two along with this other girl, jerica planned right?" Coach gave Lizzy a glare.

"Yes." Lizzy swallowed.

Coach dismissed everyone except the two of us and we both knew what that meant.

Why does it have to be today that coach has to be in a bad mood? Ugh.

"Five laps around the field. Off you go!"  Coach instructed.

"Come on come on." I started running around the field. She better let us go after this.

Finishing the five laps as fast as we could, coach finally dismissed us.

"I swear I could have strangled her!" Lizzy complained as we went to the shower rooms."She's so..so..evil!"

"Aren't we all used to her ever changing moods?" I sighed."We gotta hurry up, I don't wanna be late."

"Right. Let's go let's go."

We took a shower and got changed into fresh clothing

"Done?" I asked Lizzy as I combed my hair."It's seven already.."

"Done already. I'm just waiting for you." She said.

"Okay. Let's go!" We walked out of school and began walking to Jerica's house.

Thank goodness it wasn't that far away from school. I glanced over at Lizzy to find her texting someone.

"Who are you texting?" I asked.

"Jerica." She said.

"Then why are you smiling so weirdly? It looks as if you're talking to a crush."

"Guess what, Summer." Lizzy put down her phone.

"What?"

"Joshua is gonna join us this time for the movie!" Lizzy exclaimed.

"Oh my gosh! Are you serious!" I hugged Lizzy."He is? Lizzy! Oh gosh!"

"Calm down gal." She laughed.
