My Name is Jasmine

I slammed my book shut as my little brother ran into my room screaming my name. He was always doing stuff like this to get on my nerves.

"What is it Wyatt?" I asked, obviously aggravated.

"Take me to get ice cream!" He yelled.

"How about you ask nicely?"

"MOM!" Wyatt answered.

"Fine, fine, we'll go get some ice cream, you don't have to bring her into everything." I said as I rolled my eyes.

He looked at me with a huge grin on his face because he knew he had gotten his way. I hopped off my bed and threw my sneakers on, just as Wyatt grabbed my arm and pulled me downstairs.

"Where do you guys think you're going?" Delilah, my step - mom asked.

"I'm taking Wyatt to go get some ice cream." I answered.

"Oh for Wyatt? Then I guess it's okay." She said with a smile.

My name is Jasmine and this is about how every single day of my life as gone since about a year ago. I do whatever my little brother wants, whenever he wants. My life fell apart when my father married my step - mom, Delilah. Now I deal with a spoiled little brother and a step - mom that hates me. I usually try to get through the day under the radar. Don't get in trouble; Don't say anything rude; Don't make yourself known; Is what I say to myself daily. If I obey them, I usually get through the day pretty easily.
