{-River's POV-}
"Hello?" I hear on the other line of the phone.
I'm in a really happy mood and I have a reason for it. I was almost in tears when the doctor told me.
I need to tell Josh, my brother, the great news. I rang him on my hospital room's phone.
"Josh.." I say slowly. I couldn't tell him like this, "Come quickly.." Is all I can get out before he replies. "On my way.." I hear him say.
About a half an hour later he shows up. I was currently laying in my hospital bed but when he walks in I get up instantly.
My cheeks hurt from smiling so much and my eyes are welding with tears.
"What's wrong?" He asks me, his eyes full of worry.
"Nothing.." I say, "Nothing at all." I tell him. He furrows his eyebrows.
"Josh.." I say quietly. "They cured me.." I say. His eyes light up. "I can come home.." I continue.
"Oh my god!" He yells, "You're coming home?!" I nod as I hug him burying my head into his chest.
"I'm coming home.." I repeat quieter.
"No, we're going home." He says softly. I look up to him almost crying.
After 5 years of pain.. I was finally cancer free. It felt like a giant weight lifting off my chest.. Like a big sneeze I've been holding back finally came out.. Like a bunch of butterflies in my stomach exploded out of my mouth.. I can't even think right. I'm so happy. I can't wait to see my twin sister and tell her the news.
Sorry for the short chapter but I had to set the stage.. I hope you're enjoying my new book and wait for new chapters every week or so!
