Chapter 2: royal blood

After dinner Hazel takes the plates and James puts Silhouette's plate in the microwave and there was a small knock on the door. Walking up to it James looks through the peep hole and sees Alice with her brown hair covering part of her face and her blue eye stands out. Opening the door James says "Come on in Alice and I will get something for you to wear from Hazel if she lets you." nodding she sits in a light grey chair across from Silhouette who is passed out on the couch and James comes out with a red half top and blue jeans that are a little to big on the legs but fit other wise perfectly. Grabbing them she smiles and walks to the bathroom which James points for her to dress in. In her sleep Silhouette twists and turns "No...no...no....MICHAEL!" popping up she screams the name Michael. James comes rushing into the room followed by Hazel then Alice and sits by Silhouette. "Hey what's wrong?" shaking her head she tells him "It was just a bad dream, that's all...sorry to bother you." Petting her head he says in a calm voice "It's fine, and who's Michael?" Looking down she answers "My brother who died by a man wielding a knife who tried to kill us both but he only got Michael." Studying her facial expressions James can almost fathom of having a family of his own. Wiping away the tears Silhouette looks away in embarrassment of almost crying in front of complete strangers and a succubus. Hazel puts a hand on James shoulder and he looks at her and nods then gets up as he starts to walk away Silhouette speaks up "Um..do you have anything to eat?" adding along Alice speaks up "Ya I am hungry too." Smiling he goes and grabs the left over dinner and brings it in two bowls for Alice and Silhouette with forks in it. They thank him and eat the food silently and Hazel goes to her room. James turns on the t.v and leaves it on for Silhouette and Alice on some Underworld news station called Zombie Fox news on channel 12. Closing the blinds around the house and locking the doors James Tells the girls which are living in his house for some reason besides Silhouette since she has no home and Alice for the same reason. He closes his door and strips to his boxers then takes off his pentagram necklace, the last gift from his master. Walking towards his bead he stretches and yawns then slips into the bed putting a large black blanket over him, turning off the lamp next to his bed he used his inferred vision and spots hazel in the corner. "Hazel go to your room now please." She sighs and leaves then James falls asleep. Opening the door slowly Silhouette creeps in "Need anything Silhouette?" looking down she says "Well one congrats on being the new king of the underworld and two...um..can I sleep with you? I know we barely meet but I am um...scared of the dark and Alice told me what you did, so I will fell safer with you.." "ya sure." he turns on the light and waits for her to get into the bed then turns it off he walks to his closet and grabs pajama pants then puts them on; he goes back into bed and closes his eyes and falls asleep. In the morning Hazel Looks at him angry "She can sleep in your bed and cuddle you but I can't? You know me longer than she has."
