I had put my book away so I could think for a little while. We would need to follow Jake, but then what would we do? We didn't know where we were going - yes, we were going to Patras, but when we got there, what next? Were we going to an island, or staying in the city? I wrote all of my thoughts down in the journal I always carried so I could show Sage. She frowned, but a minute or so later, she snatched my pen and began scribbling an answer in my orderly journal.
First, why aren't we talking? And second, I think we could try to catch Jake. I mean, what else can we do? We're just girls chasing someone across Europe, not secret agents. It's super lucky that we found Jake in the first place.

"She agrees with me," Sage said in satisfaction.
I nodded, put my journal away and leaned back in my seat. The seats really were comfortable, for a train.
A minute later, Sage leaned over, phone in hand. I skimmed over the message.
"That's a perfect-" I lowered my voice and whispered excitedly, "That's a perfect plan! Tell Lili to go to Car Eight, really casually, and I will follow along shortly. Then I can work out details with Lili where we won't be overheard."
"Right."
