Finding Out the Truth

Hearing Shi call me that hurt.

I wasn’t sure if she and Rin knew or not but I wasn’t ruling out either option.

“Thank you for letting us use your cabin Hitomi. It was a huge help” I said to my friend.

“It’s fine. Visit soon” Hitomi said as we hugged.

“Sure” I agreed as we pulled back.

“We’ll go alert Francis” Rin said.

“Choji, Lee go with them” I said.

My two friends nodded and left with my kin.

“Do you want to come Hitomi?” I asked.

“No thanks. I’d rather clean my cabin” Hitomi said with a smile.

“If that’s what you want. See you later Hitomi” I said before the rest of us ninja left.

When we arrived at the castle Choji and Lee were waiting for us.

“Your brother and sister went to shower and change” Lee told me.

My teeth clenched at the words ‘brother and sister’.

“Thank you for telling me Lee” I said with a smile.

“Last time I was here for our date” Kiba said as he slung an arm over my shoulder.

“Same” I said looking around.

“I remember that night well” Kiba said with a smirk.

Shika narrowed his eyes at me.

“Nothing happened” I said as I elbowed Kiba in the stomach before walking further into the castle.

“How did you learn to find your way in this castle?” Lee asked.

“I still get lost sometimes” I said as I walked up the stairs.

I heard Kiba laugh.

“Shut up Inuzuka!” I called before Shi and Rin turned the corner.

“Lunch is ready” Rin said.

“I should know that” I said frowning.

I lifted the lightning bolt necklace out of my shirt.

The black had faded to a grey.

I took it off fully and stared at it.

“What did you do to it?” Shi asked me.

“I didn’t do anything” I said looking up at her shocked.

“Clam down Shiori. May I look at it Darci?” Rin asked.

I nodded and handed it to him.

When my contact dropped the grey turned back to black.

The three of us stared at it.

“What is it Darci?” Kakashi asked from behind me.

It took all my will power not to flinch away from him.

“My lightning bolt necklace turns grey when I touch it but turns back to black when it’s in Shi or Rin’s hands” I explained.

“That’s odd” Kakashi said.

“Maybe it’s trying to tell you something” Neji said carefully.

“Maybe…” I agreed.

“Is lunch ready?” I heard Choji ask.

“It is. This way” is aid before I walked off toward the dining room.

Once we were all seated Francis and his waiters came out.
