ATHENA'S POV

"Athena, mag-usap naman tayo o" sabi ni James. Kaaalis lang nila Cara and I felt weird talking to James right now. Its really awkward you know, after what happened yesterday.

"Nag-uusap naman tayo ah?" sabi ko na nakatitig sa sahig.

"Look at me Athena, please" he said in a way na para bang nasasaktan siya.

I looked at him directly in the eyes.

"Athena, let me just clear what happened last night"

"before we can get sentimental, can we just go somewhere else? I don't want my mom hearing this"

"Sure"

Nagpaalam siya kay mommy na pupunta kami sa park. Pumayag naman siya.

I readied myself for something I know is going to happen.

Nang nasa park na kami, there is still the awkward atmosphere. We've been sitting on one of the benches for about five minutes when he broke the silence.

"Athena, I know you know that I know that you have feelings for me"

"Cut that crap! Just go straight to the point!" tumingin ako sa kanya na naiinis! The heck, does he really have to say that?

I said nothing. I just stared blankly at him.

"It's okay James" I smiled, forcefully. Inalis ko yung kamay niya na nakahawak parin sa braso ko.

"No its not."

"yes it is. And take me home now cause I'm freakin' tired!" Tumayo ako at nagsimulang naglakad.

"Do you still remember the time I told you na gusto kita?"

I froze. Ayan naman. Naalala ko na naman.!

"I lied" sumikip bigla yung dibdib ko and tears began to fall. Tumalikod ako at hinarap siya

"asshole! Do you really have to say that in front of me! Do you know how much I was hurt back then! Cause pinaasa mo lang ako!" alam kong mukha na akong tanga dahil umiiyak ako habang sinusuntok suntok ko siya pero T*ngna! Ang sakit! I just had to feel the pain again! And this time, mas dumoble yung sakit! I just have to let it out!
