"Why do Spiders Sound so Familiar?"

“I know. I got Kai out. I told him I would keep an eye on things. We better get to my cabin before the sentries find us” Hitomi said.

I nodded and followed after my friend.

“She looks 16” Kakashi said from beside me.

“That’s because she is” I said with a smile as I jumped up into the trees to get level with Hitomi.

“What has been happening?” I asked as we came to a stop.

“It happened suddenly. It was a peaceful day like usual when hundreds of spiders came from the borders. They rounded the villagers up. The guards tried to kill them but there was so many. Kai was almost dead when I found him. I patched his wounds up and then teleported him to Konoha. I then kept an eye on the place. I haven’t seen the actual culprits, only spiders. The enemy has taken up refuge in the castle” Hitomi said.

“Spiders?” I muttered to myself.

“What about spiders?” Kakashi asked as my team joined us in the trees.

“Hitomi hasn’t actually seen the ones behind it. Only spiders.” I told him.

Kakashi nodded.

“Lets get inside” Hitomi said.

I nodded and we jumped higher into the trees.

“Why are we going higher?” Choji asked.

“Because Hitomi lives in the tree tops” I said as we stopped on a branch across from a big cabin.

Hitomi jumped across and unlocked her house.

We then all went inside.

“Make yourselves at home. I’ll go get some drinks” Hitomi said before she disappeared into the kitchen.

Everyone sat while I stood.

“What is it Darci?” Kakashi asked while I started pacing.

“Spiders” I said.

“What about spiders?” Kiba asked a little confused.

I waved off his question as I kept pacing.

“Why do killer spiders sound so familiar?” I muttered.

“Maybe someone from your past could summon spiders?” Hitomi suggested as she walked back in with a tray of drinks.

“That’s what I’m trying to figure out. Who had the ability to summon spiders” I said.

Hitomi shrugged as she sat on the couch next to Choji.

“Introduce yourselves. I’ll be outside thinking” I said before I walked out.

I started pacing on the front veranda.

“Spiders” I muttered again.

“Calm down” I heard Kiba say from the front door.

“I will not calm down until I figure out why spiders are so important!” I vented.

“Your still mad about what Naruto said” Kiba said as he stepped forward.

A growl erupted from my throat when Kiba mentioned Naruto.

“Hey, he will realize what he said was wrong. With or without the help of Sakura” Kiba said as he caught my still pacing form in his arms.

“Sakura will make him realize, I know she will. It’s just spiders seem so familiar but I just can’t place it. It’s frustrating!” I said.

“Hey, calm down. Close your eyes and think” Kiba said as he set his head on mine.
