I'm standing here frozen and lost for words once again, she looks at me strangely as a tear falls from the corner of my eye. I wipe it away quickly and hold up the note to her she snatches it from my now turning purple fingers, she invites me to come inside so I decided I should, kicking my soaked shoes off aggressively. We walk into the kitchen and she places the letter on the counter and grabs some glasses from the cupboard, she reaches over to the fridge and looks over at me and says "Apple or orange?" I of course zoned out and I didn't hear her and I looked at her with the most stupid expression and said "Mhm?" She cut me off and asked again, a little irritated this time and said "Apple or orange?" - "Orange please." I replied. Sitting at the dining room table now, she raised an eyebrow and let out a little smirk. She opened the note I think she was expecting it to be a love letter? I don't know but she quickly changed that expression as she read the note stating that I was next. She looked up and asked me "Where did you find this?" I told her all about my crazy morning, she got that same look she had when we walked into the bathroom after Mackenzie killed herself, or was killed. "Polly I don't think these are suicides, I think these are murders or maybe something paranormal?" - "I want to go to the library and check this out maybe they would have something there!" Tia shouted. We put our shoes on and got on the city bus to take us to the library. Once we got there we went through the non fiction paranormal side we found some things like it but not close enough, we went to the computer and searched online and we found something similar to it in two other states in the country. We read about how there were 13 suicides in Georgia, all kids in high school all three days apart then the other incident was in Seattle same thing,  13 kids in high school three days apart. Here in Brooklyn they where three days apart as well. "WAIT!" Tia yells. "There has only 2 suicides so far does that mean there will be 11 more?" I pause and choke on my breath. "I am next."

Tia looked absolutely petrified as she asks, "How many days has it been since the last suicide?" My eyes widen as I start to get a bad feeling in my stomach. "It's only been one day Tia, you need to calm your tits." I add, "So you're telling me that we have two days to figure out what the hell is going on before you allegedly commit suicide?" Tia shouts as everyone looks at her with a very shocked and mortified look. I turn to everyone and smile a sweet-ish awkward grin as they continue to stare us down and loudly whisper amongst the others about us. I turn my body back around to Tia who now is looking a bit shocked and embarrassed herself. "I'm not going to kill myself Tia." I whisper to reassure her, "And whatever is going on is clearly not suicides, maybe someone is murdering these girls for fun? And leaving it like they are suicides. That makes sense but what doesn't is how they killed these girls and why the two incidents are ten years exactly apart and the last one was ten years from now." I say in a lower more serious voice to Tia. "Like I said Polly it could be something paranormal! Like a ghost or demon?! Or an evil parasite!!" Tia very excitedly replied. I knew she was a nut but could she really be this nutty if that's even possible? There couldn't be a ghost or a demon really killing people could there? They are not even freaking real. I'm getting that damn horrible feeling again, that deep down inside my gut I know she's not wrong. I look deeply concerned when I turn back to look at her, I bite my lip and take a deep breath and out and I told her. "Fine we won't rule that out, it being that it's all that we have, what do you know about ghosts or demons anyway." She try's as hard as she can not to smile but she does, she let out this big grin with a sparkly look in her soft brown eyes. Tia loves this kind of thing, considering she binge watches ghost shows on Netflix. Just as she was about to speak, Colin Reed strolls in through the red library double doors. Both Tia and quickly turn our heads towards him, I looked over at her dumb crushing face as she was practically drooling over him. Tia has had the hugest crush on Colin since he came to our school last year. He is super nice and easy to talk to I know this because Colin and I are pretty good friends, Tia is to nervous to talk to him of course. He was dating one of the pretty perfect popular girls from his last school but they broke up three weeks ago. So guess I should help her out and introduce them, you know cause he is heading our way.

"Hey Polly and ---?" Colin says as he walks up to us oh so swiftly.
"Hi Colin! This is Tia, my best friend!" I replied. He holds out his hand to shake hands with Tia, she looks absolutely terrified as she slowly reaches her hand out to his huge palm compared to her own. "Nice to meet you Tia! Your hands are very shaky, have you had much to eat today?" He asked her. Before she had the chance to stumble over her words and could get the right words, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a dollar bill. "Please go buy yourself something to eat, Tia." He commands after putting his hand on her shoulder. She gave an small awkward smile and quietly said. "Thank you". That's the quietest I have ever heard her being, I wish she was like that all the time! "Why are you two lovely ladies at the library on a Saturday anyways?" Colin looks down towards me and asked. Tia and I both shoot our heads towards each other looking to see if the other person had an answer. "A research project" I pipe up and softly smile. "What about you Colin?" Tia quietly said then let out a little flirty giggle. I turned my head towards Tia like I was Reagan from the freaking exorcist movie, and rolled my eyes at the sight of her big time screwed up flirting. As he replied "Just passing through, I do have to get going though but it was nice talking to you Polly and nice meeting you Tia! Maybe we could hang out again sometime?" Tia's face lit up and said, "Sure!" - 'Okay you know what you two are grossing me out know could you guys just not.' I thought as a bitch face started to seep threw on to the surface of my pores clogged with makeup. "Here's my number, hope you will use it. Soon" He adds with a smirk and a wink as he hands the post it note to Tia, then slips out of the library. Tia turns to me and has the biggest smile on her pale face. "I can't believe that just happened!!" She says while beginning to squeal like a pig in the mud. "Yeah yeah, we need to get back to work" I snapped back.
