Shadow sat in his big soft velvet chair in the small living room flipping through T.V channels bored out of his mind. Souvenirs lined his shelf's from wall to wall and pictures of people and places hung on hooks every where. There wasn't one place he hasn't saw, one thing he hasn't done, and no one he hasn't met. It was 10:00pm and night had left it dim outside. With Sonic gone, everyone went in a mid depression, even Tails who tinkered in his lab, never showed his face outside again. He was now 12 years old. Amy stayed single and to numb her broken heart was a sort of desperate woman now trying to find hope in another man but was always let down. Knuckles stayed watching the Master Emerald and found himself crying of boredom wishing Sonic would come by with an adventure or something to talk about.

Eggman had taken advantage of the "hero-less" city and "took over the world" but as the months went on and he had everything he wanted (way to easily) he had gotten bored and wasn't as strict with the people anymore. In fact by this time, he was just like a regular president. Yes President Eggman, and after his 'evil' fun was over everyone welcomed him as their new leader and the former president took a relaxing cruise. But nothing was the same. No action fast Sonic adventure to be found. It was as if, once he was gone the "evil" that made an adventure start said, 'there's no point.'

"A meteor shower will be hitting Mobius tonight. It will be breathtaking to watch, we suspect many of you can watch it right from your roof or back yards." An anchor woman said happily on the news.
"Hmm..." Shadow smiled softly deciding it wouldn't hurt to stay up and watch some falling rocks. Shadow made it up on his roof setting up a blanket and a soda making himself comfortable. The stars shined bright and as he watched the glowing stars the flash backs were silent nightmares right before his eyes.

-flash back-
The gleaming neon yellow hedgehogs zipped past the firry stars in pursuit of the falling ARK, streaking the atmosphere like tails of a falling comet.
-end-

"Shadow." A sweet voice came from below where his feet rest. He moved his shoe blocking the view of the voice's owner looking down to see Cream; now 10 years old, looking up at him with a smile Cheese her little Chao by her side.
"Yeah?" He asked.
"Can Cheese, Tails, and I watch the meteor shower with you?" She asked.
"Whoa, you got Tails to come out?" Shadow sat up looking around for the fox.
"Yes." She smiled. "Come on up Tails!"
After a few moments Tails flew up with a high tech looking telescope, "Hi Shadow..." he greeted and instantly began setting up his telescope.
"You ever look up at the stars and see Sonic?" Shadow asked looking back up. At least the slight lack of emotional consideration for others still remained for Shadow when all had changed...
Tails sighed with glare for his answer.
"Sorry..." Shadow answered just for polite mannerism and bowed his head. "So, uh whats this new contraption?" He asked changing the subject.
"It's just a regular telescope, and will record your observable object, for even further observation." Tails explained.
"Well... I observe you put alot into observing the falling rocks tonight..." Shadow snickered.
"Yeah... Something like that." Tails sighed and went to looking threw the scope.

Moments later, a star appeared where it wasn't before, and then it moved! Coming closer leaving a streak in the sky.
"The first comet entered earth's atmosphere!!" Tails cheered, everyone perked up and lifted their gaze to the dark sky.
"Make a wish!!" Cream squealed.
"Wish? Cream no one wishes on falling fire balls." Tails said.
"They're rocks and I was about to say the same thing." Shadow corrected and agreed.
"Well they're rocks on fire so same difference." Tails shot back.
"Hey, don't get moody with me Mr. Besides you're only twelve, don't you still believe in a little magic?" Shadow growled.
"Ha, do you?" Tails crossed his arms, "You're only sixty-one."
"Oh getting sassy are we? Well sixty-one is sixteen backwards and age isn't a 'thing' for me, so there!" Shadow huffed, "The question still stands, do you believe in a little magic, or not!?"
Tails looked down thinking, he used to... but he seemed to have lost his faith in magic too soon and too fast.
"I... I don't know..." He shook his head and went back to his telescope.

"I wish my friends would stop fighting." Cream's voice whispered but loud enough to be heard as she still gazed in the sky.
"Sorry." The boys both apologized.
"See, it works. My wish came true. Teehee!" She giggled turning back to them.
"Amazing." Shadow rolled his eyes with a smirk.
"Just think, all these falling stars each holding a wish for everyone. Which one is yours?" Cream asked.
"What if..." Tails started and then quieted in embarrassment, but Shadow and Cream looked at him their eyes silently asking for him to finish.
"What if everyone wished really hard, and all for the same thing?" he managed to admit his thought aloud.
"That'd be a lot of magic Tails!" Cream smiled happily, "If everyone did that, then it would have to come true!"
"It's..it's only a stupid idea. Nothing would happen." Tails sighed embarrassed seeing Shadow's victorious smirk taking his 'silly idea' as an answer for his question earlier. Perhaps he still had the tiniest belief in magic, in which he used to secretly make a wish on the next streak in the sky.
Shadow returned his gaze to the falling 'stars' and remembered Maria's one silly wish.

--flash back--
"I wish I had a flying pony, the color of pumpkin pie!" She giggled sitting on the floor by the window seeing a meteor zoom by.
"You're not serious are you?" He laughed looking down at her.
"No..." She laughed, "I wished for a hug and to see your adorable smile." She said. Now he tried to hide his smile but it some how forced its way for her to see and he knelled down hugging her.
--end--

He smiled and followed a bright streak and made a bold thought to wish upon it himself.
"Did you make a wish?" Cream asked both of them looking back.
"Shh! I'm watching..." Tails hissed annoyed. Cream frowned and turned back to her gazing position.
Just then a roar was heard. So loud it shook the ground, cracked windows, and sounded off car alarms.
It came closer and closer, the sound of a sonic boom.
"Oh my great chaos!!" Shadow clawed at the roof having been almost shaken off and dangled off the side.
"I'm scared!!" Cream held her chao Cheese.
Tails tried flying in the air but was also tossed around by the sound waves. "Ah, it's like an earth quake of sound!" He yelled. They looked above to see what could have caused such a disturbance and saw a neon blue streak light up the sky and then crashed in the meadow where they used to hang out. Tails' eyes burned at Shadow with curiosity as the hedgehog wiggled himself back up on the roof, how ever none was worried about poor Cream's fear of the loud noise, instead they rushed back to Tails' telescope, picking it up and checking to see if it was functional.
"Hurry play that back!!" Shadow demanded.
"I am I am!" Tails said nodding and clacking away at his key board.
"There!" Shadow pointed to the screen. "Slow it down and play frame by frame."
"Got it."
"Pause it there and zoom it in." Shadow watched over his shoulder and Tails did so.
"Make it a little clearer." Shadow mumbled, Tails stuck out his tong in his great effort to concentrate.
"There! Is it really???" Shadow gasped. They both watched in awe. "Quick lets see what the news has to say!!" Shadow dashed back inside leaving Tails to drag the fear struck rabbit inside the house.

"A real wishing star? A blue meteor? A UFO? What is this mysterious thing that crash landed on Earth? GUN has already got solders sent out to secure the perimeter. But it seems like everyone is racing to the so called fallen wishing star." A new report was announced.

Shadow took no time to wait for anything else to be reported, he wanted a look at it himself! For his many years in space never had he seen something like this. "Come on kids! We have an adventure on our hands!" Shadow grabbed the children and took off down the road.
