"That sounds amazing. A job that requires to be around animals all day long sounds super fun, just not for me." She laughed, for a life of a vet can be pretty fast paced at times when different animals have different needs.

"Hey guys, get up here ok?" Josh now followed the trail that you walked not to long ago, greeting you. You truly felt bad for Josh, he lost his two sisters. You tried to help him the best you could, but he closed up to you. Luckily, he had a connection with Sam, so she helped him through it for the part that you couldn't.

"Yeah...ah..more or less, but it's so good to see you!"

"Same, I've missed you guys."

You saw Josh mumble something, but you couldn't make it out, yet you didn't make much of it.

Chris and Josh walked up the steps to the lodge door, coming down minutes later, obviously with no avail of opening the door.

"It's iced?" You questioned, getting a nod from both Chris and Josh.

Chris then came over to you and ash, you looked over to her and wiggled your eyebrows, for you knew all about their little crushes. Now that you knew Chris much better, he always blabbed to you about Ashley, and because you were such good friends with Ashley, she always blabbed to you about Chris, both oblivious to each other's big mouths to you. You earned a punch in the arm and a blush from her after wiggling your eyebrows, yet it only made you laugh.

"Sup Cochise, looks like you couldn't use your smoken hot moves on the door knob to heat it up, huh?" You joked, which was common between the two of you.

"I know, it usually works on all the chicks, but I guess door knobs just don't appreciate my smooth moves." He pulled at his collar, which made you giggle.

"You wish Cochise, I bet they work on old Ashley here, don't they Ash?" You now said with a sly smirk on your face, making her face turn red.

"So, uh, Ash, how you doing?" He questioned shyly, his eager attitude now shy and quite. What a thing love can do.

"Mm..good. But a little cold! I think I could use some time curled up by the fire." She replied in the same tone of voice Chris used.

"Oh, I bet Chris could warm you up plenty." You nudged her a arm, earning another slap.

He chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck "That does sound pretty nice.." You looked at Ashley with another smile, her eyes on Chris.

"Not the thing (Y/N) said! I mean the fire thing!" He said quickly trying to hide his mistake.

"Oh Chris, we all know you meant the thing I said." You replied with a chuckle.

He kicked you lightly on the steps were you sat with Ashely, sending you tumbling backwards into the snow covered steps. "Shut up (Y/N)."

You made a thud against the stairs, snow flying all around you. You heard both of them laugh. You leaned up, now covered in snow.

"Hey, not fair guys, it's two against one!" You complained, making them laugh harder.

"Hey! Cochise, come on." Josh called Chris over to open the door.

"See you around guys." And with that he left you two alone.

You continued to complain and dust the cold snow off of you as Ashley continued to giggle.

"Come on Ash, you know what I said is true. Just think, no parents, all alone, it's the perfect time. Let him charm you, you know you want it." You were doing it again, being the wingman, the antagonist. You couldn't help it, it was your personality, and you kinda got used to it being around Mike so much.

"I guess you're right, I mean it wouldn't be so bad. I just wish he'd make a god damn move. I just don't know if he likes me." She continued to question her relationship with Chris, which you had no clue why she would.

"Ashley, I'm basically his sister. I'm always around him. Do you know what he talks about all day? You. How perfect you are. What you did with him the other day. He's like a walking, breathing Ashely Encyclopedia!"

"How do I know that your not just lying to get me to talk to him?"

"Ash, if you're that unsure I'll literally secretly record one of our conversations. Trust me on this on, he likes you."

"I wish you liked someone so I could bug you about it." She grumbled, not having a comeback.

"Haha, you wish. I'll have you know I'm an independent young lady." You laughed, now getting up to join Sam at the doors. If only she knew your feelings for Mike, that would be a disaster. Like Hannah all over again, and you all know how that turned out.

"Whooooo." Of course, Chris had to make his cheesy ghost attempt.

"Chris, cut it out, I'm freezing out here." You complained.

"Aw, how'd you know it was me?" He whined, yet you all just sighed.

Chris began heating the door knob with the home made blow torch, which, being the idiot Chris was, he grabbed and opened the door immediately after, burning his hand.

"Nice one, dumb ass." You scoffed at his idiocy.

"Thank you, thank you, I'll be here all week - AHHH!" He bowed, yet let out a squeak as some sort of animal barged out of the lodge, which made you all laugh.

"Jeez. Crap that thing freaked me out."

"What was it? Are you ok?" Ash asked between laughs.

"It was like a bear, or tiger or something..." Chris over exaggerated it, making you snort.

"Aw, it was just a cute wittle baby wolverine." Sam cooed.

"Baby?"

"Don't worry buddy, you're gonna be a big boy soon." Josh laughed with you, leading you into the lodge.
