The Roommates

Makaylas pov

After the plane lands and we find our way to the hotel one of the producers is telling us which rooms we are to sleep in.

Producer : Ok so there are twenty-one of you. I only have seven room keys though. So each of you will have to share a room with two other people. When I call your name please come pick up a card. Sharlet, Corie, Camrynn, Saquita, Makayla, Watson, and Javon.

Kayana : Girl you got us a key go get it!!!

*I know they use room cards now but I'm using keys*

She pushed me forward a little bit. I walked forward but turned around giving her a stank look. I got the key and walked back over to her.

Makayla : Who's gonna be our roommate?

Kayana : Well it can't be my cousin because she got callee for one. Ooh it should be a fine ass dude.

I watched her walk up to some guy and talk for a few seconds. Then she came walking up to me with him following her.

Kayana : Makayla this is our roommate Darrius. Darrius this is my cousin Makayla.

Makayla : Hi nice to meet you.

Darrius : Hey same here.

We shook hands and found our way to our room. I tired turning the key a million times but it wouldn't budge. Finally I just threw my luggage down and reached into my hair.

Kayana : Girl we ain't got for you to be fixing yo' hair.

I pulled two bobby pins out and inserted them into the lock. The held one in place while jiggling the other around for a second until...

Makayla : Haha!

Darrius : You got it open.

They walked in and I reached to get my bags. I looked next to me and my second bag wasn't right there. I turned around and saw Chres standing there holding out the second one. I looked embarrassed.

Makayla : Thankyou.

Chres : No prob

Then I noticed him go into the room right across the hall from mine. I went into my room and plopped onto the bed closest to the window.

Kayana : Stingy nigga.

Makayla : Haha.

Then she turned around and saw Darrius laying sprawled out on the next bed.

Kayana : Yall some....

Me and Darrius laughed. She had to get the closest to the door.

*Ok so when you walk into the room the bathroom is to the left. Across from it is the closet. Walk a little further and on the left is the kitchen. The go straight a little to the left is Kayanas bed. A little further down on the right is Darrius' bed. Then further down on the left is Makaylas bed. So there's a great space between Makayla and Kayanas bed but in that space on the opposite side of the room is Darrius' bed.*

We sat and chilled for a bit while catching up and getting to know each other. Darrius was really cool.

Later that night

I woke up later that night lying in my bed. It was dark and hard to see, I was about to turn on the lamp bit didn't want to wake the others. So I just got up and went to the bathroom. I was about to open the door when next thing you know I heard moaning and the shower running. There was Darrius' name being called over and over. I almost gagged so I grabbed my phone and left. I decided to go to the arcade room. When I walked in I saw Chres in there with no shirt playing pinball. My eyes grew wide as I slowly tried to make it to the racing game. Then he turned and saw me.

Chres : Makayla?

I turned around.

Makayla : Oh hey I didn't see you there.

Chres : Oh, sorry about the shirt it got...

Makayla : It's aight

He came and sat in the game seat next to me.

Chres : So why in here so late?

Makayla : Uh kinda woke up and couldn't sleep due to Kayanas moaning.

I faced him and we both started laughing.

Chres : Really?

Makayla : Yep, what great roommates of mine.

Chres : Well in the meantime wanna play ice hockey?

Makayla : Only of your not afraid of getting beat.

Chres : Bring it on.

We played ice hockey and talked and laughed. By the end of the night we had played seven games and I won each time.

Chres : See what ha-happened was, was that I let you win so you wouldn't be sad.

Makayla : Yeah right.

I playfully pushed him.

Chres : You wanna push people, ok.

He came over and picked me up as if to drop me.

Makayla : If you drop me...

He sat me on one of the game tables.

Chres : What?

Makayla : I will do something as soon as I think of what to do.

We both started laughing. Then we stared into each others eyes. We leaned into kiss but stopped.

Chres : It's getting late.

Makayla : Yea I should go.

Chres : Yea let me walk you.

We walked to our door which we both happened to leave cracked open.

Chres : I guess I'll see you tomorrow.

Makayla : Yea

Chres : Bye Makayla

Makayla : Bye

I went into my room closing the door behind me and saw Kayana and Darrius on their own beds playing on their phones.

Makayla : Oh don't act all innocent now.

I plopped on my bed.

Kayana : What?

Makayla : Oh Darrius oh oh.

She threw a pillow at me and I burst outn laughing. Darrius was just smiling on his bed with his hands behind his head in achievement now.
