I was still listening to their conversation.

"Bruh just ask Vanessa out."Jaiden said

Trae was going to ask out my best friend Vanessa out.

This made me really sad.

(Next Day at School)

It was free period and Trae called Vanessa over. Five minutes later she was smiling very hard. He asked her out right in front of my face.

"Bye Trae."She said

"Bye Nessa."He said

"He asked me out."She said

"Awww."I said

"So who's your crush?"She asked

"I don't have one anymore honestly."I said and walked off.

(At Home)

Vanessa texted me multiple times.

Bestie:Hey what's wrong you stormed off on me during free period.

Bestie:I'm sorry Jisasah for whatever I did please forgive me?

Bestie:Can you at least talk to me?

Me:It's nothing.

Bestie:You sure?

Me:Yes I'm sure.

While I was texting Josh stormed in.

"I'm sorry little sis he really wanted Vanessa."He said

"It's fine I'll just have to get over it."I said breaking down into tears.

"Don't cry just get over him."He said wrapping his arms around me. I had my head on his chest with his chin on my head.

"I can't you don't understand I liked him for a long time."I said

"You'll be fine."He said

"But he's dating Vanessa and she likes to talk all the time about her boyfriend."I said

"It's fine."He said

(2 Weeks Later)

I have barely even talked to my family. I've been stressing and I don't know why.

Trae came over with Vanessa. I told Vanessa I wouldn't be here.

I was walking past Jalen's door but there was a creak and you could see Vanessa and Trae kissing. Half of me wanted to fight Vanessa and the other half wanted me to breakdown.

Instead I just kept walking. These next two weeks or more I won't be talking at all.

I was in the kitchen making bottles for SJ and KJ. I gave them to my mom.

"Mom do you know where dad is?"I asked

"He's on the patio."She said

"Thanks."I said

"Welcome baby."She said

I walked to the patio and opened the door to walk in the patio.

"Dad I'm sorry."I said

"Sorry for not choosing one of your sports."I said

"It's ok."He said

"Jisasah is everything alright with you?"He asked

"Of course."I lied

"Not exactly."He said

"Well I've been stressing."I said

"Why?"He asked

"Because you know Trae?"I asked

"Yeah."He said

"Well I have a huge crush on him."I said

"Ok."He said

"He asked out my best friend Vanessa."I said

"Ooooo."He said

"Dad I can't even think without thinking about that."I said breaking down into tears.

"Baby girl come here."He said with his arms open.

I walked and sat on his lap. He laid my head on his shoulder.

"Baby don't agree about that."He said

"If he doesn't want you. You just have to move on. Trust me I know how you feel I've been through this before."He said

"Baby your beautiful just the way you are and if he doesn't like you move on. Move on from the negative."He said

"Dad Vanessa is apart of the negative."I said

"Well be the the bigger person and take a big opportunity to take the bigger step."He said
