Tori’s POV
We hang around the same spot all day, I make around £3! For us, that’s a lot! I buy Evangeline a sausage roll for her tea and I have a little bite myself. That’ll do, for now. We are just walking back to our shed when we hear shouts. I sit Evangeline down and wrap an old blanket I found in a skip around her. I run into the alley and I see Mikey’s gang going for the boys that helped me out this morning! Mikey’s an old mate of mine, and I know all his friends. “Wait, Mikey!” I walk out into the alley, leaving Evangeline in the shadows. “Oh, hey Tor!” he says and I hear a chorus of ‘hello’s’ from the gang. “Listen, you can’t hurt them, they gave me money to get Evangeline breakfast!” I say “Really?” Mikey looks at them. “But, they’re celebrities, why would they help you?” Freddie says. “Because we don’t like to see suffering.” Harry, I think it is, says. “better get used to that, mate.” Benjy mutters. I sigh and nod. “Got that one right Benj!” “Tori!” I hear Evangeline scream. I run back to where I left her, and I man is taking her away! She is kicking and struggling. “Get OFF my sister!” I scream and punch and kick the man. I knee his ‘area’ and he grunts in pain. He releases his grip on Evangeline. “Eva, RUN!” I shout. She makes it back to the famous boys, Mikey and the gang are helping me out now, soon, the man limps away, cursing. I shakily high five Mikey and run back to Evangeline. “Oh, Evangeline!” I pick her up and whirl her around. My lip is bleeding and I have bruises on my face and probably everywhere else, but I don’t care. I saved Evangeline, well, I had help! “Thanks’ Mikey, Freddie, Benjy!” I say and hug them. One Direction look a mixture between shocked, and horrified. “This happens all the time.” I explain. “Well, we best be off, g’nite guys!” Mikey says “Thank you Mikey!” Evangeline’s sweet voice says. “See you round, Tor, Eva!” Mikey says and he and the gang disappear into the night. “Are you okay, you’re bleeding?” Liam asks me, taking a step towards us. Evangeline hides behind me. “Oh, I’m fine. Thanks’ for the money this morning! I was able to get Eva some decent food!” I smile and they smile back. “Thank you, you saved our lives!” Harry says. “From Mikey’s lot? They wouldn’t have hurt you, I don’t think.” I grin. “Well, Eva’s tired, so we’re gonna go sleep somewhere.” I say. “Um, you could crash at our place?” Louis says. I furrow my brow and consider it. “No offence, but we don’t know you and I wouldn’t go with strangers, especially with Evangeline.” I say. “Oh, yeah I suppose.” Louis says awkwardly. “Goodnight!” I say and hoist Evangeline up onto my back. “Night.” The boys chorus and I too disappear into the night.
