"With each sunrise we are given a chance for a new beginning" - Unknown

Omniscient

Jet lag had Blair more than ready to climb into the nearest bed and sleep the rest of her day away. The almost two hour flight to most would be a piece of cake, but it was Blair's first time on a airplane and her nerves had got the best of her since the night before. She was running on pretty much no sleep and was beyond ready for some much needed sleep now that her plane had landed. After going through baggage claim and retrieving her luggage Blair maneuvered through the large airport using signs as her guide until she made it to the front entrance. Just as she came to a stop her cellphone began to go off inside the back pocket of her jeans.

She answered without as much as a glance at the caller id, the personalized ringtone had let know it was indeed her childhood best friend Gabrielle calling her.

"Hello."

"Girl where is you at? These damn rent a cops keep telling me to move my car. I ain't got time to be paying no more tickets out here!" Gabrielle said into the phone.

"I'm at the front entrance where you told me to come once I landed."

"Well shit bring ya ass on then. All white Benz huntyyyyy. Yes ya girl is sitting real pretty in this too."

Blair quickly searched with her eyes for a all white Benz.  After scanning the cars that were lined up at the entrance she finally spotted her best friend's car.

"Goodbye Gabby. I see you." She said before hanging up the phone.

After sliding her phone back into her back pocket she made her way out the airport and into the thick, and humid Atlanta air. Gabrielle pushed a button from inside the car where she sat to pop open then trunk. After placing her luggage into the trunk and closing it Blair hopped into the passenger seat. Without realizing it she let out a deep sigh of satisfaction when she was greeted by the cool air blowing inside the car.

"Girl you look bout dead as hell. The flight couldn't have been that damn bad." Gabrielle said giving her best friend a quick glance before pulling out of the airport's parking lot.

"Do I look that bad?"

She pulled the visor down to look into the built in mirror. Sure enough she had bags under her eyes and her skin look lighter than usual. She looked sick, but she wasn't... Just exhausted.

"Look like you ain't slept in days. You get anymore lighter you gon fuck around and turn white on me."

"I'm just tired. I can't wait to get in bed."

"Bye granny you know Karen is not having that." Gabrielle said referring to her mother, who was beyond excited to see Blair.

Blair and Gabrielle had been best friends since they were toddlers. The two were neighbors and their parents were always setting up play dates for the girls. The two were literally inseparable from playground days all the way up until junior year. When Gabrielle's older brother Alex was gunned down at a bar during the two's junior year in high school Karen packed up and moved to Atlanta not wanting to be in Cleveland with the bad memories of her sons' death. Blair and Gabrielle kept in touch even after Gabrielle moved and now two years later they were reunited and now roommates. After a lot of convincing and begging Blair finally got her mother's blessing to move to Atlanta to pursue her modeling career. With a couple of Gabrielle's connections she was able to land Blair a job at one of the top hair salon's in Atlanta; Style Bar. Blair was cold when it came to doing hair. She could do it all, but her dream was to model.

"What time we going to see her?" Blair asked already knowing that Ms. Karen was not gonna allow Blair to sleep the day away and not come see her.

"Dinner starts at 6."

Blair looked at the time on her cellphone, it was just a few minutes after two o'clock. She let out a breath of relief. She had more than enough time to unpack her clothes and still have time for a nap before dinner started. The remainder of the car ride the two best friends made small talk, talking and laughing about nothing in particular. After about another twenty minutes of highway driving the two finally arrived at the loft complex that Gabrielle stayed in. The loft was a decent size for the two girls, with two bedrooms, a bathroom, living room, dining room and a decent size kitchen. Gabrielle had decorated the house so well. She used earth tones for the entire house and Blair was definitely proud to call this her new home. After a tour of the house the headed to the guest room that would now be Blair's room.

"Thank you God for giving me the world's greatest best friend." Blair said with her eyes closed and her hands in a prayer position.

Blair was shocked to discover that Gabrielle had been putting all the clothes that she had been sending through the mail while she was still back home up in the closet and drawers inside the room that would be her's.

"I am pretty awesome huh?" Gabrielle smirked with a hand on her hip.

"Thank you baby love."

Blair hopped of the bed to pull her best friend into a tight hug kissing her all over her face. She had really missed her and was so happy to finally be here.

"I can't believe your finally your here!!!" Gabrielle's shrieked hugging Blair back.

The girls had been planning for months on end and the time had finally come.

"We're rooommieees!" Blair sang jumping up and down on the bed.

Gabrielle left out the room to let Blair finish getting settled. After unpacking her hygiene bag Blair grabbed what she needed to take her shower. After pinning her 22 inch Brazilian weave up on to the top of her head Blair stepped into the running shower. Too tired to stay in the shower long, she handled her business before getting in comfortable clothing for her nap.

She plugged her cellphone in to the charger and sent her mom a quick text.

Hey mom I landed about two hours ago and just finished packing. About to take s quick nap before going to Ms. Karen's for dinner love you and I'll call you later. - 4:10 pm

Once the text message delivered Blair sat her phone on the bed side table before snuggling under her covers. She drifted off to sleep in no time.
