Richard was breathing VERY hard as he threw himself behind a corner.
His bullet wound was killing him.
Not to mention, Batman, yes, THE BATMAN was on his tail.
Richard sighed and thought of how this happened.
How he was running away from someone who he saw as a father.

And it was really bad.
Nightwing was called in as backup for the Justice League.
Yeah- the JUSTICE LEAGUE.
The moment he was called, he KNEW it was a bad idea.
How could he possible defeat whoever they were against if the Justice League couldn't?
AND HE JUST GOT DONE WITH ANOTHER MISSION THAT WENT HORRIBLE WRONG!

Looking back on it now...the reason why he left?
It was too much all at once.
Don't get me wrong, I can handle stress.
But everything that happened.
And at the same time?
Wasn't good for me.
I was going to break or quit.
To be honest, I did it for myself.
And everyone understood.
I've been in this business pretty long.
I've seen things that I wouldn't wish on anyone else.
I've BEEN THROUGH those horrible things.
If you asked "Why did Nightwing quit?" most people you ask would just say "It's not my story to tell."
And it's true it isn't their story to tell.
It's mine.
