Has the thought of dying someday ,
ever crossed your mind? Has the
feeling of death being around the
corner and knowing the end was near
ever made you shiver? well my name
is Renaissance park, and that faithful day
those thoughts and feelings came over
me more than they ever have in my life.
It started of a normal day. Came
back from school, I was so exhausted.
Dropped my bag on top of my bible,
walked about two feet to my bed, and
Jumped on it with no care in the
world, it was a nice soft bed, red in
fact. I sat up straight asking my self why
school was closed so early today.
I looked down to my left away
from my window and my bible was
slightly tilting from under the bag.
Some strange force edged me to pick
pick it up. I stood from my bed
overcoming all feeling of fatigue and
I used the little energy I had left to
pick up the heavy bag. I took the bible
from underneath, dropped it on the
table and fell face flat on the bed.
I found my self sitting upright
and looking left towards the direction
Of the bible again, then that force
became like a voice, but this time
stronger, the voice told me to pick up
the bible and read, I didn't
understand but I did it anyway. It felt
like I wasn't even in control of my
own hands I just picked the bible and
opened to a random page, funny
enough the page I opened to was the
verse we had read in school before
coming home for our first terms Christmas holiday.
It talked about the end of the world,
and how the sun would turn black
wiping the heat from earth. Then it
dawned on me, I didn't even listen
during the sermon, then how on earth
was I able to know what my teacher had talked about .
I turned to my right looking out the
window, I stared for almost an hour and
when I was back to reality I went
down stairs only to see my mum and
brother sleeping on our long sofa
with the TV switched on in front of
them to CNN, or so I thought. The
news talked about strange
disappearances that had occurred all
around the globe. I turned to my left
down our hall way that lead to the
kitchen and I noticed through one of
the windows on the hall way that
there was no sunlight shining through it.
I went to go open it to see weather
it was closed but realised it was wide
open. I ran back to check the time. I
looked at the clock above the TV and
it was only after 2 in the afternoon. I
tried to wake my mum and my
brother but they didn't even flinch. I
ran outside to check out why it was so
dark in the middle of the afternoon,as I ran through the hall way and
opened the door, a great blast of wind
hit my face and as the wind passed by
my right ear the words " THE END
HAS COME" there whispered into
my left ear. I looked up to the sky and i
couldn't see the sun,
just pitch darkness.
