Tennis Practice~

One of the many days I have been here at the castle, the Princess had invited me to 'get into shape', as she called it, with her. A friend of Mario's, Rosalina, had been chosen to appear in the latest Tennis Tournament so Peach had brought me along.

Although I believe myself to not be the most active of people but since she insisted I had no choice but to comply, she even had an outfit picked for me and everything.

It was white, like the purest snow, trimmed blue to highlight it, with shoes to match. The racket on the other hand was of the same colour but the mesh, in the middle, was a snowflake even the handle was decorated with snowflakes.

I was unsure as to why she chose this design choice but I never really bothered to ask.

She told me, along the way to the Mushroom Court, that she even had a 'Holiday Tennis Outfit' for me as well. I guess she means the most wonderful time of the year, Christmas. I am probably gonna like how that one looks.

Upon arrival I was greeted by a vice grip from the lovely Princess Daisy, her lovely brown locks looked so gorgeous compared to the messy mop I call my hair. Daisy handed me a hair tie, decorated with flowers no less as I took the time to tie my hair into a low ponytail.

"I gotta say, you look mighty pretty" The flower Princess complimented me, I could feel a blush coming on, I have never felt so embarrassed.

"O-Oh well thank you but I don't need any compliments, I am just Milady's doubles partner"

Was that laughter I hear? I turned to see Daisy holding back a chuckle or two.

"You are still as humble as ever. C'mon we got a game to play" the female clad in orange seemed pumped and ready to go.

I could see Rosalina on the other side of the court, floating no less. I guess she chooses when she wishes to walk. To be fair I have never been to space.

At all!!!!!!

But I have heard the tales regaled by the Mushroom Kingdom Hero and she was really beautiful. I was utterly awestruck when I saw her, the blue of her outfit really complimented her skin.

"Are you ready?" Peach's voice distracted me from the blankets of my daydreams, she had my tennis racket in her hand. Gladly taking it I give her a nod. "Y-Yes Princess. I am ready"

"Then let's play"

She had so much cheer in her voice, it was rather contagious and I couldn't stop myself from smiling.

It was a rough game of tennis, the roughest game I have ever been in. Who knew special moves were super cool but also really DANGEROUS!!!!

From hearts, flowers, stars and snowflakes the Toads who were watching were bouncing up and down with excitement, eyes going back and forth following the ball to see who hits it next, I was working up a good sweat.

It was a close game and, in a turn of events, the Princess and I had earned victory much to the disappointment of Daisy and her doubles partner. "That was a brilliant game Your Majesties" I exclaimed, happily taking a bottle of cold water from the Toad carrying the water.

"I have experienced what this planet has to offer in terms of racing but I, myself, have never had the pleasure of a Tennis match before. It was an exhilarating experience"

"I am glad we could make your visit so much more special"

The blonde smiled. "You are very kind."

After packing up, the Princess and I began the walk back to the castle followed by the Toads who had accompanied us. Peach decided that I needed my own retainer, not that I actually needed one but it was nice of her.

The female Toads name was Holly and for some strange reason al the Toads name were puns of sort and hers wasn't and I liked it that way, not that I have ANYTHING against puns of course.
