There I was flowing through the wind

Like the chlorophyll seeping through my steam

Rain was falling, unlike me

Soon I will join them

But until then I shall tell you my tale

One that has twists and turns

And an ending that will hopefully prevail

I have a job

One that saves the tree

Gives it food, fulfills all it's needs.

That is my life and duty

One that I take very seriously

The wind pulls at my seams

Endlessly trying to unwind the bindings that tie me to my home

Almost as if it was trying to rewrite fate

And to my surprise it does

There I fly into the free world

A world full of the unknown

Here my story begins

Whisked away on the unseen stead

Stolen from my home and looming fate that will never become known

Regrets are made formal and I can feel my death coming closer

Before I know it, I am on the ground

Cold and lifeless

Falling apart sooner than later

Becoming the soil and nurturer

A creator

In the end I did not prevail

In the end I only failed

I used the structure of narative for my poem
