"Aww, that's adorable. He really likes her." I said

"Yea. I tried to take him back to his stall earlier, but he refused. Nothing I did would make him pay attention to me." She said

"Watch and learn." I smirked

I put two fingers in between my lips and whistled loudly.

Dally turned his head, and saw me. His face lit up and he ran towards me.

"Wow." Ms Harper said

"Hi Dallas." I smiled rubbing his back

"How long have you had him?" She asked

"Well my dad's horse Lucy gave birth to Dallas when I was 9, and he's just been my horse ever since. I've been riding him in my hometown rodeo since I was 10." I said

"And how old are you?" She asked

"I just turned 16, so Dallas just turned 7." I said

"My Brianna is 3 years old." Ms. Harper said smiling

"So, is there anywhere I could ride him?" I asked

"Well, we have an open field beside the pasture, no one ever uses it, but today my son is out there with one of the Arabians who is giving birth to a foal, that's the only time we ever use that field." Ms Harper said

"Wow that's really cool, I was home alone with my older twin brothers who were ten, while I was almost nine, when my dad's horse Lucy was giving birth. My brother Matthew was on the phone with my dad, as he talked me and Jacob through helping Lucy give birth to Dally right here. He's a veterinarian." I said patting Dally on the head

"Wow, a nine year old and a ten year old delivered a little colt." Ms Harper said

"Yep. I want to go to vet school." I said

"You're the same age as my son, maybe you met him at school." Ms Harper said

"Maybe, what's his name?" I asked

Lost cause, the only names I know are Ally Nelson and Will Davis.

"Mason Harper...ring a bell?" She asked

"No...it doesn't. I'm sorry." I said

"Oh well." She says

"Is it alright if I call my friend, and see if she'd like to ride with me?" I asked

"Of course. She can ride my Brianna." Ms Harper said

I grabbed my phone and dialed Ally's number.

"Hello?" She answered on the third ring

"Hey it's Blaire." I said

"Oh hi Blaire." She said

"I was wondering if you'd want to come down to Hickory stables and ride on a trail with me." I asked

"Sure that sounds really fun. I live right next to there, so I can literally just walk 50 feet across the street and I'll be there, I'm on my way now." Ally said

"Ok, I'm out by the pastures." I told her and hung up

Ally came jogging up to me less then a minute later.

"Heather Harper this is Ally, Ally, this is Heather Harper." I introduced them

"Yes, she's rides here all the time." Ms Harper said

"Speaking of which, who's this? I've never seen you before." Ally said rubbing up and down Dally's neck

"This is Blaire's horse." Ms Harper said
