Everyone thinks that Nico is depressed, sad, a loner, gay, and weird.
I object.
Look at his backstory.
If he hadn't been put in the casino he and Bianca would be the children of the prophecy,
But he was in the casino, let's look at when he left.
He met Percy and the crew and was excited by the new possibilities of adventure, and looked up at Percy as an idol, but, Bianca left and joined the hunters. He made Percy promise to look after Bianca, and she died. Wait what was that? How old was he? 10!! That is hard news to handle at that age. So he over reacted. But he is ten. He met Minos and tried to bring her back, what would you do if you found out that you could bring the person you love back, huh? He defeated Minos and became the ghost king, and he turned the tide in the battle of the labyrinth. Then he was shunned for who his dad was. He didn't have a cabin, so he felt like he didn't belong. BUT!!     He didn't pull a Luke, and he was 13, way more immature than Luke. Nico convinced Percy to bathe in Styx, and got Hades to help in the war. If you don't mention raising a whole army of the dead. He was the first demigod to know about the two camps. He volunteered himself for Tartarus, and if you don't remember, he went alone, and saw the true side of it. The cells and all. He stayed alive and ventured way deeper than Percy and Annabeth. He got kidnapped by the Giants, but who wouldn't? He managed to stay alive in the jar as well. In the House of Hades he admits his long gone crush for Percy, but really people after this, every ship with Nico in it was gay except for Reynico and Pipico. IT WAS JUST A CRUSH!!!! Now he is the sad person he is. That is the only thing I agree with, look at the bright spots in his life: His 6 friends, Jason, Will, Lou Ellen,Reyna, and Ceil. His sister Hazel, and kind of, Frank. If you haven't forgot, he lugged the Athena Pathenos all the way from Greece to Long Island! That is 4928.1 miles!! And he turned Bryce into a ghost, while Reyna and Coach Hedge were watching. He feared they thought he was a monster. I hope you realize that Nico di Angelo is not just some 'weird, gay, goth kid.' But someone that should be appreciated, he does a lot. Please, give people a chance, in real life. Invite the kid who has no friends to sit with you, be nice to littler kids, respect your elders, listen more than you talk. Get good grades, change the world. You may have heard this many times but you can change you generation. You will effect the world around you, so go do you homework, or help the elderly, volunteer. Do something that will benefit others. Not just you. Get off the screen you are on right now and help someone. Take this message to heart, if you spend your life on a device you will have to work hard all day. So pass the message. I don't care if you are a kid, an adult or some rainbow hippo, GET OFF YOUR DEVICE NOW! I want to know that by spreading this message some people will listen. Some will not, if you don't, well your loss. Even if you work all day, just help someone, they don't have to return the favor. Right now, go do the dishes, clean the laundry, mow the lawn. Start a lemonade stand and donate your profits to charity, help those poor kids in Africa who starving while you get some electronics to play on.
Think about others, help them first, not yourself, because when I grow up this world better not be filled with egotistic people.
Join together and help the needy!
Save the forests!
Get rid of pollution!
Cure all sickness!
World Peace!

P. Please don't be rude of some one is different.
That is who they are.
We are all humans, so what if we look different? Or have money? WE ARE ALL PEOPLE! And we all have hearts.
