Chapter 22: The Aftermath.

I was about to hand up the phone when I heard mike blurt out the times, which I had forgotten to ask for.
"It starts at 6:00 till whenever you sleep." He said while laughing.
"Okay see you mike."

I thought of inviting pete and Hannah, since I knew it would be awesome to introduce them to my friends. They are a couple

I texted Hannah and Pete on our group chat, hoping that they would come with me. I didn't want to go alone.

Me: Hey guys, I have had a change of plan and I was wondering if you wanted to come to this party thing at my friends house, I don't want to go alone, so I am bringing you losers with me ;) (its 6 till whenever)

Pete: Sure, as long as I can go as a sexy nurse then I am up for it.

Hannah: I should be able to go, I will definitely go if pete dresses up though xD

Me: Good! You guys can come over now if you like, we can watch some TV and just hang out till we have to go up there

Pete: Alright I will be up now

Hannah: Okay, I will probably be like 10 minutes

Me: Okay cool :)

That cheered me up, I knew I could rely on them so that I wasn't alone right now, for the party and normal chilling time.

Pete came down here really quickly which sort of terrified me, but I didn't care because I needed the company of my new close friends.

As soon as pete came through the door, Alfie was barking and jumping on him excitedly.
"This little guy missed you." I said to pete when I opened the door.

He smiled, as he looked down to me, "Did you miss me too?" He smirked.
"Oh..sure." I said sarcastically, which made him laugh.

Hannah came in not too long after, as we just chilled watching TV for hours. We watched back to back episodes of dexter, which was fun. We also ate some pizza at 5:00 before the party, not wanting to feel sick from drinking alcohol on am empty stomach.

"So..where's your sexy nurse costume then?" I asked pete whilst laughing.
"I forgot it.." He said sarcastically.
"You have disappointed me." I joked, as I nudged his side.

Hannah was wearing one of her beautiful red dresses, and pete was just wearing his normal black plain clothing, and that's when I realised that I needed to get ready.

"What to wear?" I said to myself as I rushed to my wardrobe.
"Wear your sexy black dress, every guy was swooning for you in the studio when you worn that..even pete." Hannah laughed, which made mine and Pete's cheeks heat up in embarrassment.

I agreed to her option, as I closed my door to get ready. The dress was sort of gothic, and it was tight to my body, and it complimented my figure really well, luckily.

Pete wolf-whistled to me as I exited my bedroom door. "Thank you! Thank you!" I said sarcastically with a smirk.

"Your lipstick is extremely red. It looks awesome, man." Hannah stated, as I thanked her.

I turned off the TV and gave Alfie a couple of dog treats before we left.

We decided to drive in Pete's car, because it was a quicker car, and admittedly, he was a better drive than me and Hannah.

"Right down here..and there, it's the big white house by there." I explained to pete as I pointed to mikes house.

He parked quickly, as we all exited the car, anxiously. "Are you ready to meet my friends?" I asked them while laughing, because they would seem so out of place here, since they were full of tattoo's and piercings.

Pete and Hannah followed closely behind me, as they were invited by me.

I looked around, searching for mike and everyone else. "Mike..?" I shouted when I felt mikes hands pull me into a hug.

"Lauren! I haven't seen you in ages, come on.." He said as he gestured for the three of us to follow him down the hall to the others, which we did.

They were in a more quiet and secluded room, where they were just talking around a table, kind of like last time I came over her.

I saw everyone happily surrounding the table, until I noticed josh.

My heart literally stopped for a second, as I felt extremely sick. Seeing him here right now in front of me felt so surreal, because of how much I have missed him.

Josh saw me, as he opened his mouth slightly in shock, almost as if he wasn't expecting me here.

What hurt me most was when I looked beside josh to see a girl holding onto his arm, and trying to sit on his lap. Although I could see josh trying to stop her slightly.

In that moment I had felt as if my heart had been crushed. Everything slowed down, as me and josh stared awkwardly into each others eyes.

I couldn't handle the tension between us, and I had felt completely heart broken.

Josh had clearly moved on, and I was still trapped by the hurt feelings and the care that I had felt for josh.

I still loved him.
