Your skin is embossed with scars and history. So you wear it like battle armor, old and worn. When you much rather should relish in the fact that it is a beautiful artifact, one designed so pristine and gorgeous, to withstand everything it's been put through and still gleam with with glorious triumph.

You wear your skin heavy, shameful and shy. But your velvet skin has been on someones mind for so long now, and all that person can think about is how much they yearn to interlace their fingers in yours, how they long for the feeling of you on their fingertips. They burn with desire for you... and everything that you try so hard to hide.

You should wear your skin like the immaculate work of art that it is, moving with the grace of silk woven with the harsh memories of what once was, but flowing nonetheless. Your scars are not a sign of weakness, nor are they in any way a cause of hurt.

I get up everyday and I'm dressed in the painting of myself; my 'flaws' smeared across my skin like hurried paint strokes. I am a canvas, and I will not hide what I hold or what I am, I am proud of how far I've tread on this journey, and my scars are mere reminders, war trophies from all the battles I've fought and WON! I display them with pride and vanity, not fear and shame.

Your skin is your most prized collection, a tally of the moments that have pushed you down, and failed to keep you there, a testimony of how you pushed harder, and struggled with a strength that can only be found in the soul of a warrior. It is your canvas, showcase it. Love it.
