"And we all fall down"
The broken records play over and over in the small room. A silhouette glanced onto the tinted window pane, then sighed depressingly looking into the mirror.
How long has it been since a soul has entered this isolated area. They were too scared, too afraid. Who was it that told the others that the woods are cursed? A face frowned at the fact of the existence of the foul rumours.
A hand was placed onto the wood and traced the carvings and handprints of those who visited this humble home after the many decades and centuries of being pursued by the hunters. The being knew it wasn't human... But it also knew that it wasn't its fault for preying on them. It was in their nature... The nature after they just emerged.
The silhouette went out for a stretch, looking at the sky as the shape went to the garden to tend the flower bed and hedges. A mouth curled into a smile. At least... I have my flowers, someone thought optimistically. An arm reached out; caressed one with care; taking them in one by one; treated each flower as an individual.
The garden and the house are the only ones unaffected by the snow that falls outside. Chuckling echoed through the empty night. No wonder that it was getting chilly, the smile from before then faded, I guess tonight... Is a long night...
Slowly the figure looked up to see grin of the crescent moon mocking him.
