The Doctor and the Girl Out of a Time

Chapter 5

Summer of 1952
Allison Pond-Williams is 26

"Where are we going?!" The doctor shouts as the Tardis takes him to a random signal.

Monica is out late and Allison is home alone reading in her living room when her hearts ache. The young red head drops her book and falls to the floor.

Allison hears a beautiful whirring sound and a beautifully coloured blue box appears in her living room.

The doctor steps out and sees the young girl clutching her hearts and runs over petting her and comforting her.

"Ring," Allison gets out.

The doctor sees a ring on the table and hands it to the young red head quickly.

Allison slips on the ring and it brightly glows as relief spreads through her hearts.

"What is that?! Are you okay?! Who are you?! Where are we?! When are we?!" The doctor asks.

"A raggedy mad man with a blue box bursts into my house and you're interrogating me?!" Ally shouts.

"Raggedy mad man with a blue box," Ally whispers.

"What?" He asks.

"Come with me," Allison says, ignoring the question and grabbing the doctor's hand.

"Woah woah woah, who are you, where are we going?" The doctor asks quickly.

"Come on," Allison says yanking his arm towards her bedroom.

Allison plops onto her bed and stares at the doctor, slightly amazed, slightly curious, slightly thrilled, and slightly scared.

"Doctor?" Ally asks.

"How'd you know?" The doctor questions.

Ally bites her lip and hops out of bed.

"Allison," she sticks her hand out for him to shake.

"Nice to meet you Allison," the doctor says.

Allison walks over to her desk and opens one drawer. The drawer that's full of her dreams. The doctor, planets, aliens, and more.

"Where did you see these?" The doctor questions after rummaging through the drawer for a few minutes.

"I've dreamt them," Allison whispers.

"Wow," he whispers, "very nice."

"So raggedy man, that's your Tardis out there?" Allison asks.

"Yes, yes it is," he smiles at the familiar young woman.

The two two-hearted strangers stand in silence for a moment.

"Wanna go for a spin?" The doctor asks.

"Hells yes," Allison blurts out.

Ally's face turns pink and she covers herself up, "I mean, yes, sound great."

The doctor chuckles and cheekily grins at the beautiful young woman.

The doctor clutches Allison's hand and they walk into the Tardis. Ally's face turns into a huge grin as she sees the inside.

"Tell me about yourself Allison," the doctor says sitting on a bar.

Allison takes a seat next to him and smiles.

"You can call me Ally or Alice. I grew up here in Leadworth. I'm a 26 year old English teacher. And a fun fact about me is that I eat fish sticks and custard," Ally smiles.

The doctor smiles confusing Ally.

"Family tradition," she chuckles, "your turn."

"Okay," the doctor chuckles, "I'm the doctor, I grew up on Gallifrey, I'm 1,196 and I'm a time lord with two hearts. I am an explorer and I also love fish sticks and custard," the doctor smiles at his new friend.

"Now where do you want to go?" He asks jumping off of the pole and walking towards the Tardis console.

Allison follows him and thinks.

"Somewhere beautiful," she smiles.

The doctor pulls a lever and the Tardis whirs.
