Quinn's pov:

October 12th, 2014

"Same as always?" Dina asked me, as she wrote down Hannah's order.

"Make sure you add in the extra cream."

Dina clicked her pen and headed back into the kitchen to prepare our milkshakes. It was me and Hannah's weekly tradition to go to Dina's Diner every sunday after youth group. It was a good way to start the week and catch up with the drama. Who's hooking up with who? Who's talking smack on who? What's the drama on twitter? It was basically our normal topics, depending on how traumatic the week had been.

"So, how's Parker?" I asked Hannah.

"Our five month anniversary was a few days ago. I mean, besides that, there's nothing really new with him. We're pretty happy and that's it."

"You both still have your v-cards?" I joked.

Hannah smacked my hand and laughed.

"The biggest virgin in our school is making fun of me for being a virgin. Pretty ironic, eh?"

"Um, excuse me, but Jason and I had done stuff when we were dating. I wasn't the biggest virgin in our school."

"Well, to answer your question, I am still a virgin, but I do plan on having my first time with him for our 6 months."

"Are you sure you wanna make that commitment?" I asked, "That's only a few weeks away. For all you know, he could have an STD."

I could tell Hannah had seemed a bit offended by my statement, but it was a valid statement. Parker wasn't a bad guy, but he wasn't a virgin either. In fact, it's a mystery how many girls he's hooked up with before he was with Hannah. Considering the fact that Hannah has been my best friend for eight years, I wanted to protect her.

"I trust Parker. I know he's fallen into mistakes at times, but he's really brought himself back up. He's never cheated on me or lied. I really feel like I want him to be my first time."

"Just make sure he's got a condom on."

Hannah smiled and nodded. I was gonna support her no matter what her decision was. Even if I didn't, it was her life and not mine.

Dina brought out our shakes.

"Thanks Di," Hannah and I said in unison.

"If you need anything else, just holler back."

I took a sip of my shake, realizing it was made just the way I liked it. Hannah continued talking over-passionately about Parker. How he took her to a fancy Italian restaurant. The poem he wrote for her, which I actually think kind of sucked although I kept that to myself. How he brought her to the college basketball game. Same old, same old. However, being her best friend, I was supportive and pretended like it was new information.

The sound of my phone interrupted Hannah in the middle of her sentence. I picked it up to see that it was, surprisingly, Leo.

@ayoitsleo98: long time, no see (:

@quinniem: well a difference of four days must seem like a while since we've talked!

Hannah noticed that I'd looked down at my phone.

"Who's that?"

"Um, his name's Leo. Just some boy that I met online."

She rolled her eyes.

"Oh so you're gonna talk to boys online, but you won't date Jason Sorenson?"

"Since when did Jason Sorenson become a part of this conversation?"
