About a week or two after school was out and it was officially summer our family packed up and we went to Pinedell, Massachusetts. The first thing I noticed when we got there was lots and lots of pine tree's, too many for me to count. After walking around for a bit I noticed a lot of odd shops, tourist attractions, and some strange people.

There was an abandoned tourist trap that caught my attention. It was this little shop that had a bunch of different signs and posters all over the outside of the shop, and there was a huge six-fingered hand sign on the roof of the shop.Underneath the hand there was the words "The Six Fingered Myster".The "y" from the word "mystery" was sticking out of the ground.

I decided to go inside to see what was in there.Inside the shop there was even weirder things, like a taxidermy buffalo with a horse head and duck wings, a thing called a "Yetituna" that was a furry tuna fish, some weird bobble-heads, and frankenshirts that had half tiger, half lion faces on them. There was some signs on the walls that said things like "Nothing is ever as it seems", "Unicorns are real" and "Don't trust the gnomes in the woods".

After looking round for a while I started wondering if any of these things could be real or not.I left the tourist trap and started wandering around the woods behind it.After a little bit of exploring I found a sparkly trail leading off to somewhere.I followed the trail of glitter farther into the woods. After a little bit of walking along the trail I saw what looked to be like a gnome or a dwarf. The gnome-dwarf-thing was throwing glitter onto the ground for reasons I will probably never know.

"You must be going crazy, Jan" I said to myself. It turned around, so I dashed into the nearest bushes I could find.

"Shmebulock"It said, and then it turned back around and went back to what it was doing.

"Wow.That was weird."I whispered to myself.I trailed quietly behind the gnome wondering what other secrets these woods had.As I was walking I kept noticing other weird little creatures and things like two-headed birds, huge, brightly colored butterflies, etc. Finally we came to a humungous tree that had a doorway going through it.The gnome went into the doorway.I waited a second after the gnome went inside just to make sure it didn't notice me.

Once I went into the tree I felt like I was Alice when she fell down the rabbit hole.It was an utterly enchanting sight. There was a few unicorns, there was more gnomes, some of them were running around playing games, there was flowers that looked like crystals, there was more of the brightly colored butterflies, and there was fireflies fluttering about the tree branches.I had to pinch myself a few times to make sure I wasn't dreaming this all up.

Some of the younger gnomes ran up to me and asked me if I wanted to play with them, and, obviously, I answered yes to the offer. We played many different games, including tag, house, hide and seek, adventurers, and a bunch of other games. It felt like I had been there for days and days just exploring and playing before I had to go back home.It was hard for me to say goodbye to this place because of how much fun I was having, but I had to go.I followed the glitter trail back to the outside of the forrest, and I lingered outside of the forrest.

"I promise I'll come back to you, my own little wonderland," I whispered before leaving to go home.I knew that when I got home I would have quite a story to tell my family, whether they believe me or not.
