Chapter 11- The BIG Move
The next two weeks seemed to fly by. It was moving day. Elizabeth went over to Jake's house. She could feel the sadness build inside of her when she saw the U-Haul van parked in their driveway. She walked up to the front steps and stood there remembering her first kiss. Jake stepped out his front door and grabbed her hands. Then he recreated the moment that happened almost four year ago, by kissing her lightly. He continued holding her hand and led her into his very empty house. Elizabeth looked around at the empty rooms and plain walls and began to cry. She sat down on the floor where Jake joined her. He put his arm around her and kissed her forehead. They just sat there in silence, until Jake's mom interrupted them. "Jake honey, you need to tell Elizabeth goodbye. We have to go." Mrs. Williams's cheeks were black from her mascara. Elizabeth knew not to fight leaving, moving was like removing a band aid, it had to be done quickly.
"Well, bye Elizabeth." Jake said softly. "Bye Jake, I'll miss you." Elizabeth wiped her eyes and threw her arms around Jakes waist and wouldn't let go. "I'll miss you too." Jake said still holding onto his first love. Elizabeth pulled away, "I'm Sure you'll have butt-loads of fun with Paige." Elizabeth tried to sound cheerful, but knew it came out lame. "I'm sure I will." Jake smiled.
Jake looked around his house and smiled. Elizabeth didn't know how he could hold back the tears. The couple stepped out of the house and shut the door. Jake kissed his girlfriend as if it was the last time they would ever see each other, and then he hugged her and whispered in her ear, "I love you". Elizabeth's sorrow grew even larger. She couldn't help the heavy flow of tears now falling down her cheeks and neck. They walked to the driveway, where they found Paige eagerly waiting. "Jake...Hi!" She called out making sure they knew she was there. "Hi Paige." Jake replied, forcing a smile on his face. "We are going to be riding together...All the way to Rhode Island!" Paige said glaring at Elizabeth. "Oh, joy!" Jake turned to Elizabeth who let out a giggle.
"Jake hurry up!" Jake's impatient mother called out. "Alright!" He yelled back then looked at Elizabeth, "Bye Lizzy." Elizabeth swallowed hard, "Bye Jake." Not wanting to face reality, she looked at the ground.
Jake got into his car and started it up. He rolled down the window and Elizabeth ran to him. Making sure Paige could see, she KISSED her boyfriend like there was no tomorrow. "I'll see you in two weeks. I love you." She gave him a light peck and waved as the Williams, Jake and Paige, and the movers drove down the street.
After standing there for a while, Elizabeth walked to Sammy's car, which she borrowed...without asking. She drove to Annie's house, walked up to her best friend's room, and stood in the doorway. Annie got up and gave Elizabeth a giant hug. Elizabeth continued hugging Annie and eventually rested her head on her friends shoulder and just cried. She stayed in that position a while before lying down on Annie's bed and falling asleep.
She woke up several hours later to Annie sitting next to her, watching. "Good Morning Starshine, The earth says hello." Annie greeted. Elizabeth started laughing; she reached for her phone and saw she had four new texts. She read the first one.
ESA_LUVA: Hey! UGH! Paige is driving me crazy!
Elizabeth laughed and read the second one.
ESA_LUVA: Hey Lizzy. I've been driving for about an hour with this nut job. Miss ya. <3 ya!
Woah he sent this a while ago.
Fity-brent: what's this I hear about camping- I have a chess tournament that week. =)

"Annie you're a freak!" Elizabeth yelled. "Oh My God what time is it?" Elizabeth looked at her cell phone it was 7:45 am. "Why didn't you wake me up last night?" Elizabeth was freaking out. "Chill Lizzy, I called your mom. She said you could stay the night." Elizabeth sighed. "Thank you. Wait why are you up so early?" Annie smiled, "You woke me up. You were crying." "Sorry." Elizabeth's smile turned into a frown. Elizabeth walked to her and hugged her. "It's okay. That's what I'm for. So what do you want to do?" Annie smiled. "Hey Annie, its Ty." Ty called from the other side of the door. "Oh hey, you can come in!" Annie called back. AAAAHHHH its Ty...what if this encounter is weird? Elizabeth thought. "Oh...Hey Elizabeth, how are you?" Elizabeth smiled and shrugged. "Did Jake leave yesterday?" Ty asked trying not to upset the tender girl. Elizabeth sighed, "Yeah yesterday, it was sad." "Well would you girls like to grab a bite to eat?" YES YES YES!!! "At seven o'clock in the morning?" Annie looked at Elizabeth, "Sure why not?" Ty smiled and the girls grabbed their stuff and walked to Ty's car.
