POV: 8 year old Squid

"What if she never comes back Squid?" Tom asked me,only 6 years old, clutching at his teady bear."She will, she has to...she promised!" I reassure him, which seems to do the trick. We take one last glance at the spot where she vanished before tiptoeing across the creaky floorboards, back into our room taking care not to wake up Mum or Dad. We climb quietly into our blankets on the floor and try to go to sleep yet I still worry about Emma... I replay the last words she said to me over and over in my head. Their gentle and soothing. I jently shut my eyes, blocking out the moonlight, from our prison cell like room and dream of her. She's sitting in a compfy, warm bed somewhere far away, and smiles at me. A warm, caring smile. She opens her arms out wide for me and I greatfully take them, "She'll be fine," my conciseness tells me before I fall in a deep land of sleep...
