My Guardian Angel

•Chapter 1•

Saturday.
In my opinion its the best day of the week.
You can sleep late in, party all night and do whatever you want.
This Saturday however was different.

My stupid sister decided to take me out to a club for my 18th birthday, she however got drunk and ended up getting a lift to god knows where with a complete and utter stranger.
That left me walking home at 2 in the morning, in a tight black dress shivering in the cold.

I have no idea how to get home, or if the route I'm following is even the correct one and to top it all of the alley I am walking in seems never ending.
Rubbish was scattered along the concrete and the only light was from the moon which was above my head.

I thought about my day at school to pass time.
My science teacher told me that we all have this sixth sense and we can tell if we are being watched/followed.
To be fair I thought she was lying and I never thought that it might be possible, until now.
I could definitely feel a strong gaze on me but every time I look around all there is a blank alley and a strong gust of the wind.

Expecting to see an empty alley again I turned around, only this time three men were behind me, not too far but they could easily catch me if they ran.
I didn't even have time to think before my instincts kicked in and I was running.
Muffled shouts were coming from behind me but I didn't care, I was more focused on trying to keep my feet in sync with one another.

Before I knew it I was face first on the floor, covering my eyes and waiting for them to do whatever they wanted to me.
But nothing happened, in fact the only reason I opened my eyes was because it was so quiet.

I gasped as I saw a man lying on the floor, his arm was shredded and wasn't attached to his body and his leg was a mess.
The other men were running away from whatever caused this screaming whilst they did so.

I felt like crying, like screaming but nothing would come out, the golden eyes stared back at me, I couldn't move I felt paralysed.
My head was dizzy, my entire body felt like it was bleeding and I couldn't keep my eyes open for a second longer.
