*Flashback

Kira's POV

"Kira we need to talk"

I didn't know what to say to him, I didn't know what he wanted I was afraid what if he was leaving me again.

(a/n: shawn is this chapter is not Shawn Mendes so Kira and Shawn Mendes are not related)

"what is Shawn" but I actually don't want him tell me what is wrong with me "well....mum and dad..." he started talking and I could feel the hot tears forming in my eyes "well they got involved in a car crash two days ago and they went to the hospital" I could feel the tears rolling down my face but he continued "the doctor told me yesterday night that they didn't make it because the cuts and scratches were really bad so I wanted to tell you and also take care of you for a while" I completely broke down when he said this I didn't know what I would do without him because my parents have died.

"why" was all I could say after what I just herd

"why did this happen, how did this happen" I was shocked and upset with lots of other mixed up emotions.

"what are we supposed to do now, how are we supposed to have enough money to live in this house if my job doesn't pay much per hour" I was completely freaking out "Kira..Kira just calm down we'll figure something out soon"
I tried to calm down but it was hard, after I heard that my parents have died.

* One week later
It's been a week from when I heard the bad news and I haven't taken it well at all, even my friends have noticed that I have been down in the dumps.

"Kira please smile, I know that it's hard after you have had to live without your parents but I really really really miss your smile.

I missed smiling too but it's hard with what I've had to go through. I'm just not myself now, I don't smile as much or laugh hard like I used to, but I'm trying my best and my brother is helping me as much as he can and I know that even though he is the only family member I have living here with us he still loves me a lot.

"I miss smiling to Ocean but it hard for me just give it a bit of time"

"Hey miss grumpy and miss jumpy" Nash came and joined us, when he said grumpy he was referring to me because of what happened and jumpy was Ocean because she is always happy

"Hey Nashy where were you" Ocean said whilst we were walking to Nash's locker, then out came a letter for him that was pink.

"Looks like Nashy has a secret admirer" I laughed then Ocean joined me, seconds later she she stopped and noticed that I was laugh also Nash was looking at me the same way.

"Are you guys okay, was it what I said I'm really sorry if it w-" but I was cut of Ocean "no don't be sorry, it's just that you were laughing and the last time you did that was a week ago"

I tried to change the subject but not too quickly "do you hear that Tanya broke up with her boyfriend Kyle because he cheated on her with her sister" I was actually concerned about her but she's been hanging out with her friends Terina and Chloe, I also herd that Tanya's cousin Lucinda beat him up pretty badly.

"I heard that too, what he did was terrible though"

Before I could say anything the bell rang for the last period which was gym which I really like, I hope that will make me feel happier.
