Chris' POV
---
I wake up and someone's in my arms. I panic and spring up.
"The hell..." Brooke mumbles
"Normally I would say sorry but I have to ask, what the hell are you doing in my bed?"
"Couldn't sleep." She answers
"But...my bed?" I question
"You just slept with a girl and your complaining?"
"True"
"Wanna go out for breakfast?"
"Yeah ok, where to?"
"Cafe?"
"Is there anywhere else?" I ask sarcastically
She doesn't even bother to answer, instead she moves to her room.
---
We catch a train to the cafe and Brooke holds my hand all the way there. I say she held it because I didn't really hold it back. Does that make sense?
---
We order and sit. She brushes her hair into place, she didn't do it at home or on the train, which is what I would've done, but hey! Girls have their reasons, or something like that...
"Your kissing was pretty good" she says
"Yeah?"
"Yeah"
"Well I had this great teacher" I joke
"Oh really?" She says
"Yeah, she taught me everything"
"I think there's one thing she didn't teach you...." She leans in
"Not here" I say sternly
"Oh, c'mon!"
"I'm serious!" I tell her
"Cautious" she says
We laugh at that.
---
Our drinks come and go. Then followed by breakfast. We eat in silence.
"Why is it awkward between us?" She asks, breaking the silence.
"It's just like a normal friendship isn't it?" She nods "I mean, we kissed and then now we're having breakfast together...it's a boyfriend/girlfriend thing to do...but we're just friends so I guess that makes it awkward...we are JUST friends right?" I put a lot of emphasis on 'just'.
She takes a few seconds to answer, eventually she nods.
