It was my 11th Birthday, a beautiful Saturday morning. It was my first Birthday in New York. At about 6:00 am my alarm woke me up. I went down stairs and found a lovely table decorated very nicely with all kinds of delicious foods for breakfast. "Happy Birthday!!!" said all the Boyce family, sitting on the table with a beautiful cake. After breakfast I was still in my P.Js and so, decided to go change into my Birthday dress which Cameron, Maya, Libby and Victor bought me. It was purple with big purple and wine flours and a dark wine sash over them. As I was heading downstairs I heard a video call on my laptop. It was mom and dad. Since I stayed in The Big Apple to film Jessie they had to return to Malta, so they called lots of times to see how I'm doing. "Happy Birthday sweetie!" They said with all the family surrounding them. "Thx mom and dad. How are you?" I said "Good, how are you and your NYC family?" My NYC family is the Boyce family. Since I was spending almost all my life with them they can might as well be called as part of the family. "Very good, thx for asking. Here comes Cameron would you like to talk to him?" I responded "Of course. Hii Cameron, how are you? How's mom? Is she there and can I talk to her?" She said bombarding him with questions. "Sure, I'll get her right away" Cameron said. Mom and Libby talked for like half an hour then she hung up and I went down stairs. "WOW!" Cameron said surprised. "I got you a little present Maria." "Yeey I like presents!" I Said jumping. I unwrapped the wrapper and found a set of make-up, a set of silver jewelry, a pair of beautiful black heels and a lovely dress. It was baby pink with black petals and black sash and a paper saying 'Would you like to go on a Birthday date tonight'. I read it in a mumbly voice, smiled at Cameron and said "I would be delighted to" followed by a chuckle. He jumped and hugged me at once. The rest of the day was a dream come true. We went to a restaurant to have lunch, then we went for a little walk to the statue of liberty. There, there was a little show performed by some teens to earn money for their high school. That's when a song Cameron and I loved started playing and we started dancing. The teens saw us and encouraged us to go dance on stage. I was so shy at first but after some time I got into the mojo. At about 6:15 pm we returned home. "That was a wonderful day, thx Libby and Victor." I said. "Oh pls call us mom and dad, after all you're staying with us and what do you know maybe some day you guys will be a couple." Libby explained. I blushed and giggled then Cameron sighed and rolled his eyes in an annoyed way at his mother. Cameron and I were going on a date at about 8:00 or 9:00 so I started to get ready. Maya and I went to a trip to a salon to do my hair while Cameron and Victor went to buy a tux for the date. Libby stayed home to prepare dinner for the rest of the family. Then got into the bath took a little bubble bath and got myself into my brand new dress. After applying bright, red, sexy lipstick I went downstairs where I found Cameron waiting for me with his mouth wide open ready to say "O.M.G. Finally I know the difference between pretty and beautiful!" Cameron took me to a very romantic French restaurant that opened like a week ago. After a lovely evening with Cameron we got back home and I was fast asleep in like five minutes. I had the best birthday ever. When I got onto the bed and said goodnight I saw Cameron coming towards me be gave me a little kiss on the cheek and I looked at him and smiled. "Goodnight my sweet" he said. "Goodnight" I responded him.
