The morning of the prom day went pretty normal. Except that me and Nico went to shop for college supplies.

Then in the evening everything started, Emily roamed about the house complaining about her dress, her hair and everything else. I helped her with makeup and her hair. Yes I knew about those really well but I never used to use them.

"Jon will be here any second now Cassie" Emily complained as I put on her eyeliner for her.

"Ya Em its almost over." I said and then stepped back to check if it looked good. And indeed it did.

The doorbell rang and Emily got up she looked at me and smiled.

"Remember to come to the after prom party at 9" she said before exiting the place.

"Sure. Bye" I said as she left in Jonathan's car.

I went back to my room and propped on my bed. I sighed with exasperation.

"Yo sis what's up?" Nico said coming in.

I looked up at him and smiled.

"Nothing much" I replied.

"Wanna go to the supermarket to buy food for college?" Nico asked.

"Didn't we buy stuff for college already?"

"Ya but not food" he whined.

I got up, "Okay I'll be down in ten wait."

He nodded and exited my room.

I went inside the washroom and wore out a pair of skinny jeans and a tank with a shirt on top. Nobody would see me like this, because I normally wore long skirts and loose pants. But I starred liking jeans since the middle of the senior year. I never wore them but I told myself I would in college. I would be a different person in college.

I let my blonde hair flow and ran down to meet Nico. He was on the couch eating a chocolate. I snatched it from him and started eating it.

"Hey!" He protested but I had already finished it.

I stuck out my tongue at him and gestured him to come out.

I took my car, a Mercedes Benz which I drove very less. I mostly drove my sister's BMW.

I pulled up in front of seven eleven and we both got busy searching for good food.

Our baskets were overflowing by the time we took a whole round of that place. Then we both paid for it and came out to the car.

Instead of putting the bags in the boot of the car we both sat on it and started munching on some food we just brought. It was quite warm outside, but not very hot.

"This is good" Nico said munching on a protein bar.

I snickered at him and took a bite of my own bar. I nodded.

"Yes it is, unlike those weird ones that don't have any taste." I said.

My phone started buzzing, I reached out for it. Emily.

"Yes Em?" I said picking up.

"Why aren't you here yet?" Em's voice said.

I looked at the time, 9:20. Shit. Time had passed so early. How was it possible. I looked at Nico and he furrowed his eyebrows in confusion.

I ended the call, and we both rushed to our house. I quickly wore my dress, the pink one and rushed out.

I reached the place at 9:30 in my Mercedes with Nico. We both entered the place together and looked around. Boys were wearing tuxs and other formal stuff. Nico wasn't he just wore jeans and came. And all the girls were wearing dresses or skirts.

I went in further to search for Emily. On the way I banged into several people, got weird stares and also confronted with people making out.

Finally I found Emily talking to none other than Jeremy.

"Hey Em." I said casually.

"Hello Cassie, you're finally here" Emily said looking at me. I smiled.

"Oh look who is here, the frost queen" Jeremy said.

I scowled mentally. I hated that name. I wasn't heartless or cold hearted.

"Nice to meet you too Jeremy" I exclaimed sarcastically.

He rolled his eyes. "Whatever" he said and disappeared into the crowd.

"Why don't you like him?" Em asked.

"Why do you like him?" I asked irritated.

She shrugged.

"C'mon let's play beer pong." Emily said pulling me towards the beer pong table.

"No Emily, you know I've never had a drink" I said.

"Now you will. Now come."

"No. I came to the party cause you told me to but I'm not drinking."

"Okay fine, I'll drink you throw."

I nodded. We both stood there. The opponents were Jonathan and Jeremy, the two best friends.

Oh and Jeremy knew about my father because of Jonathan, and Jonathan knew because of Emily.

"Frost Queen's gonna play beer pong." Jeremy chimed.

"I'm pretty sure I play better than you." I snapped.

"I'd be surprised if you knew the rules"

"Let's see if you follow them."

"Doesn't matter if we follow them. At the end let's see who wins."

"Game on" I said and we started playing.

I threw the ball, according to the angle and it went inside the glass. Emily cheered and drank a glass while both the boys groaned.

I looked at Jeremy challengingly while he aimed for the glass. He missed it and Emily took another drink.

The game went on until Emily and I won, but by the end of the game Emily was trashed.

Anne a girl who had slept with Jeremy came towards me as Emily left with Jonathan.

"Cassandra aren't you? This dress is too long isn't it? Let me fix it for you." Anne said and bent down to grab the hem of my designer dress.

It wasn't long before she ripped apart the bottom part of it and was laughing her ass off. It was torn right above my knees, means half of the dress was gone. Then she had the guts to call Jeremy and make him laugh at me.

"Oh look frost queen is about to cry." Jeremy snickered.

I narrowed my eyes at him. But he was right. I was almost to tears. Nobody paid much attention to what was going on here, maybe because people didn't quite care much about a nerd whose dress had just been torn apart by a monster.

"You're a bitch you know." I said pointing at Anne, the turning to Jeremy I said"and you you are just an egoistic asshole."

Then I stomped out of the party, leaving Nico and Emily to deal with coming back on their own.

I drove in the empty street, anger flushing over me. Tears of anger started to flow but I calmed down as I realized I would never meet these people again after the day of graduation which was not far.

I parked in front of my house and ran to my room. I slammed the door and looked at myself in the mirror.

My beautiful dress had been torn, my hair was messy and my eyes were red.
