I entered the forest and the scent off pine and sap hit me. "Smell never gets old." I said. All of a sudden I saw a glimpse of of something a light brownish. "Game" I said with a quick grin, and I dashed. I came closer and closer, I could almost see it now. I approached slowly, and it was nibbling on some berry's. I stood as still as I could, and held my breath, trying not to alert it. I nocked an arrow, and said to myself "ready, aim, fire." And I let the arrow loose. The shot was amazing. It struck the dear right in the heart, and it instantly died. I walked over to the dead body, and I ripped the arrow out and rubbed it on a tree, cleaning the blood off. I picked the dear up and slung it over my shoulder.
As I was walking back home I smelt something that was hard to make out, but eventually I realized what it was....Smoke. I couldn't tell where it was coming from, maybe it was someone having a bon-fire, but that was rare around because there were barely any kids. Normally smoke around here meant fire, and I hoped it didn't.
It was starting to get pretty smoky in the woods now, and this probably meant that there was a fire, so I started to hurry. The farther and farther I walked the smoke seemed to be getting worse and worse. Finally I emerged from the woods, and I wish I hadn't. My whole village was ingulfed by flames.
