Louis's Perspective:
As I chomped at my burger, I looked over at Bella. As I looked into her eyes all I saw was sorrow. When she saw me looking she tried to put on a fake smile, but it couldn't fool me. Her eyes couldn't hide her sadness... I looked over at Harry, who seemed to be chewing Bella's ear off probably either about his soccer skills or the band he's in with me and 3 other guys. I'm sure the last thing she wanted to hear was Harry bragging about himself, so I walked over in an attempt to pull her out of her misery. I seriously doubted she wanted to be hit on at a hospital where one of her family members could be hurt.
"Hey Harry, want the rest of my chips?" I asked, knowing that the only thing that would shut him up was food.
"Sure, thanks lad!" Harry said, guzzling down the chips. I turned my attention to Bella, taking a seat next to her.
"I know something is bothering you... Even though your fake smile is beautiful, it doesn't fool me. I have four sisters and a mum, I know when girls are hiding something," I said, my voice cracking on the word mum. I gave her a grin, trying to brush aside my emotions. She giggled faintly, but I could hear the hurt behind her laugh.
"I guess I'm not a very good actress... Its just been a rough day," she murmured, wiping away the tears that began to form in her eyes. I wiped away her tears with my fingers as she rested her head on my shoulder. "I'm sorry for this, I know you must think I'm a creep for crying on your shoulder when I hardly even know you," she whispered.
"Don't apologize for crying... This isn't your fault," I replied softly, pulling her face towards me so I could look in her eyes. As I looked into them, I realized all I wanted to do was take away the pain that was in them. I felt as if a magnet was pulling my face closer to hers, I quickly looked away from her, snapping myself out of it. I couldn't take advantage of her like this with her crying her eyes out.
"Is everything alright, Louis?" She asked, somewhat confused. I looked back at her. Her face was red from the crying but she was still gorgeous, even with the mascara running down her face. I nodded my head. I looked over to Harry, who just finished the chips.
"So, where were we, Bella, or should I just call you beautiful for short..." Harry remarked. Before Bella could reply, Nate interrupted.
"Bella, dad just called me, he wants us to come to the room... Now," Nate exclaimed, nearly pulling Bella up. Without another word, Bella was up, following Stacy.
"Now that Bella is gone, I want to make something very clear, to both of you," Nate stated. "'If you as much as lay one finger on Bella, I'll make sure me and my football buddies will lay more than just a finger on you... More like a fist. Got it?" Nate gestured to both me and Harry. I could seeHarry beginning to fume, but I quickly answered a yes for both of us before things got ugly.
