Corey rushed through the door of Dakota's house and held it open for his two friends. After they both made it in, he slammed it shut, and locked it. "We need to barricade the door!" He told them, looking around the room for something useful.
"Here!" Dakota replied, pulling food out of the refrigerator. Once everything was out, he motioned for them to help push it in front of the door.
"Good idea," Corey said, as he put his hands up against it alongside Claudia. Together, the three of them pushed hard, in attempt to knock it onto its side. "Push harder! One, two, three!" Finally, the fridge creaked as it flipped onto its side.
Corey leaned against the wall, exhausted. "Hey Dakota, it was a good idea to get the food and stuff out of it first." Dakota just nodded.
"Wait a minute," Claudia said. "What's that thing in your pocket , Corey? It looks like a book of some sort."
"Oh, this?" He asked, holding it up. "I found it while we were finding a way out of the underground room thing. Let's see what it says." He held it out for them to see, and began reading.
"If youre reading this, there's a pretty big chance that the end has come. But there's still a chance for you. I'm Rebecca, and my friends and I came across the small underground room. When the walkers were released into the city, we instantly knew how to stop them. It was tricky though, cause although there was only ten to start with, they bit and infected hundreds of people. But its simple. We lured them all into one big trap, and blew them up. We then blocked of the entrance to the underground room. But if you don't stop them soon, you'll have no chance at survival. You'd be, out of time."
Corey looked up from the paper. This had to be a prank. "So this is it?" Dakota asked. "Just like that, and its the end? I mean, where's my family? Surely they wouldn't leave without me. Unless they were out shopping-"
But suddenly there was the sound of shattering glass in another room. Corey put his finger to his lips, and crept down the hallway. When he entered the next room, he saw the last thing he had wanted to see. A zombie- well, walker- was climbing through the window!
