Emily's POV:
"Daryl!! Daryl help! There's a zombie!" I screamed while watching the zombie go to Carl
Daryl ran out the door with his crossbow. Carl didn't even notice the zombie until Daryl shot it, and it landed on him. I ran to him. I don't think I've ever ran that fast.
"Carl are you stupid?! Just because I hugged Daryl you run out of the house and almost get yourself killed?!" I screamed at him.
"It's not just because you hugged him! When you hugged him I saw an expression on your face that I've never seen before! It looked like you felt safe and that you loved him. I felt like you had a connection with him that you've never had with me!" He could barely speak anymore he was crying so hard.
"Daryl is like a dad to me! I love him like a dad and I feel safe with him just like I did with my dad! Carl the only one person I will ever love is you! I plan to marry you when this is over! I want a family! Can we please just not let this fight get to us. I love you Carl and I want you to understand that."
"I love you to Emily. I love you too."
We broke out into a hug. We were both crying. I kissed him and that's when he knew that I was his. I've never felt this connection between us. It was so strong I couldn't explain it. I loved him.
"Once you two lovie dovies are done making out come in for dinner." Daryl said
We both started laughing. We walked in together holding hands. I was hungry after all this fighting. I just wanted this day to be over.
"So what's on the plan for tomorrow?" I asked Daryl
"Well you and Judith can chill out at the house. Carl and I are going to hunt and get some firewood. If we have time then we might see if there are anymore zombies around." Daryl said.
"That sound great!" Carl said grinning. I could tell he wanted to spend time with his old buddy Daryl.
"Yes it does! Judith how about tomorrow You and I get to know each other better!? Sound like a deal?" I said really exited about tomorrow.
"Deal!"
"Well we have a lot to do tomorrow so lets go to bed." Daryl said yawning.
"Goodnight Carl. I love you and I mean it." I said as we were both falling asleep.
"I love you too."
Next thing you know I fell asleep in his arms.
