When I met you, Interity hissed your flaws and wrote them out so I would never forget them.

When we huddled in the cold before the bells rang, Optimism whistfully thought of how graceful his fingers were as his pinkie hooked onto mine.

When we first kissed, Joy lept into the air and screamed because my lips had lost their virginities.

When you wrapped my scars in your hand and showed me yours, Sorrow wept for you and how you said the pain left when my eyes took a glimpse of yours.

When you lied, Rage growled things I never would have said aloud.

When silence took the space of our times together, Jealousy crept into my thoughts until everything I said was tinged with longing.

When we became strangers again, my scars reappeared all over my heart instead of my wrists, and Nostalgia sang everyday.
