Applause rattled the theater as the actors took their bows and filed off the stage. Pantheon was performed twice a month every month like clockwork, and without fail, the show was always sold out.

"Mr. Scott Antonis Mattheos Pagona Pavlos the third, sir!" Called a child in the first row, reaching up towards the stage.

Everyone in Elysium who was anyone knew about Scott: famous actor fast-tracked to Elysium by Dionysus himself, and writer/director of Pantheon and various sequel shows.

Even as Pantheon had gone through revisions - evolving from the one man improvised retelling Scott had done all those months ago, to having a full cast and a written script - Scott always played himself.

One of the actors paused, and turned around with a smile. "My friends and fans call me Scott."

"Mr. Scott," the child amended, happily. "Why didn't the story have an ending?"

Scott's smile faltered. "It did. I died, the end."

He didn't know how much more of an end he could give than the actual end of his life.

"No it didn't! Who won the games? What happened to the other champions? I want to know!"

"Me too, kid. Me too."

The child didn't seem pleased with that answer, but Scott distracted them, handing them a rose that had been thrown onto the stage, and quickly slipping behind the curtain like the rest of the actors.

They tried to talk to him, but he waved them away. Dressing room. He had to get to his dressing room.

Scott slammed the door behind him, sliding down to the ground.

He didn't usually fall apart like this.

It's not like he had anything to fall apart over! He felt rather satisfied in the ending he'd gotten, getting to act for the rest of his unlife in Elysium.

Never mind the fact that he was pretty sure Cleo was stuck in Tartarus, and Nikos and Abolish were gods knows where.

And the fact that he'd done his best to tell the story and honor his fellow champions, but he couldn't help but feel like he wasn't going enough.

He'd tried to tell their stories... but he only knew the small bits he'd been involved in. And he didn't even know the end.
