Long ago in the early days; before the UWC conjoined the entirety of Tasrune and the churches warred, there lived a high elf who desired to establish his own kingdom. A kingdom with no others to rule over him. So Seiji Rūkān left the natural world behind and established a small kingdom in the east of Trissar, by the SouthStar mountain range. With him, he took ten young men and ten young women to establish a kingdom over them. In this kingdom he and he alone could freely sleep with, or even be romantic with, the men and women who served him. Though those he favored were allowed to act more freely. Throughout the years, the kingdom of Shūto grew and grew until they became the size of a proper city. In the walls of this city dwelled the emperors chosen favorites and concubines.
Soon after the city had been developed, a man named Kaster appeared at the city gates and offered secrets. This man of Swirling eyes of many colors gave Emperor Seiji almost anything he could desire to establish a strong kingdom; not just a city. This man granted him knowledge of a monetary and helped establish the order, he helped set up the economy by donating tons of gold to his cause, and even offered the Emperor companionship. Yet the man slipped away in the night, leaving the emperor in disdain and anger.
Several years later, as the monastery gained standing and importance as a source of power, the War of Churches had grown into a world wide catastrophe with many of the kingdoms seeking their aid.  To combat the ever encroaching war, the emperor closed off his kingdom to the outside world. Yet the man with swirling eyes appeared at his inner gates again, this time with a young high elf named Kamal. Emperor Seiji felt attracted to this man immediately and let Kaster inside with this elf.  A quick decade passed and the two had wed, leading the kingdom of Shūto into prosperity as the war waged around them. After a century of love, the two high elves felt their differences become too great and they grew distant. This is where my story begins...
