Ethan's phone let out a screech more violent than any fax machine he'd ever worked with on Earth. He shot up and pawed around the top of the headboard for his glasses. Upon finding them he threw them down towards his face and they snapped into place.

"fffucking satan's asshole, what in the fuck is that?" Travis groaned as Ethan crawled on top of him, the screeching still tearing through the messy bedroom.

"Do not speak," Ethan straddled him and clambered around for his phone from the nightstand.

"Sure, man, you can do whatever yo-" Travis started before Ethan clasped a hand over his mouth.

"Shut! up!" Ethan took a deep breath and looked down at the phone -- Unknown Caller -- although, he was pretty sure he knew. He shakily hit the answer button. "H-hello?"

"Hello!" a chipper voice replied "Vox is going to need a car to come pick him up."

"To.. uh.. Cannibal Town, sir?" Ethan anticipated, recognizing the voice instantly.

"Mmmhmm," the voice hummed, sending a wave of static through the line. It might've hurt if anyone other than Ethan was on the receiving line.

"It's on its way."

"Wonderful!" the line clicked and he released Travis's face as he started going over his checklist in his head, fully re-entering work mode.

"Ho-holy sshhit," Travis snickered. "Was that the fuckin Radio-?"

"No comment," Ethan didn't actually hear the question. He hastily pulled up his contacts and dialed the bartender upstairs.

"No comment?! What-" Ethan threw his hand over Travis's mouth again

"I need 2 bottles whiskey, 1 bourbon, and a case of water - to the car, *now*," he barked, immediately hanging up and dialing a different number.

"TV clean up," Ethan shouted as the driver picked up his phone.

"Where?" the driver asked.

"Can-cannibal.. town."

The driver sighed loudly, "I'm gonna need a bar cart restock."

"Already on it's way."

"Thank you, Ethan," the driver grumbled, line clicked as they hung up.

Silence fell over the bedroom. Ethan breathed out a heavy sigh he didn't realize he was holding in. He tossed his phone back over onto the nightstand and released Travis's face.

"We doin' something about this or are you just sittin there?" Travis broke the silence after a couple minutes.

"Right, sorry," Ethan started to move back onto the bed but Travis trapped him, wrapping him in his arms.

"Didn't say you could move," Travis buried his face in Ethan's hair.

"I was definitely not ready for you to be here for one of those," Ethan smiled and tucked his arms under Travis, snuggling into his chest.

"So the big bad CEO is *still* fuckin the Radio Demon?"

"Oh, Satan and Lucifer- He cannot know you were here for this," Ethan began to ramble into the owl's chest. "I'm dead fucking serious -- Travis -- I don't even think he knows I get that phone call. He probably thinks he calls Vel, or i dunno, the car just magically fucking appears. He *cannot* fucking know you were here for this. I'm so fucking serious."

"Okay, okay, I didn't hear shit," Travis squeezed Ethan in his arms. "Are you good?"

"No," Ethan's heart was still pounding out of his chest. "I need to get up and move around," he pushed himself off of Travis and slid out of the bed, sitting on the floor.

"Oh, I can *totally* help-" Travis started, rolling onto his side and letting one hand rest on his hip.

"I'm going down to the gym before heading back to my desk," Ethan steamrolled through Travis's offer. "I'll text you about lunch," he grabbed his jacket off the floor and let the door slam shut behind him.

"Alright then," Travis sighed to the empty bedroom and flopped back onto the bed.
