Being in the Throttled series tv show, I wouldn't say it is a dream come true. But I went for the part of Bandini princess, Sophie Mitchell.
I got the part and now I get to film scenes in the actual f1 paddock.
But it always feels surreal, using a pass to get into the paddock and into the very weird world of behind the scenes of f1.
I spot Josh, the male main character of the first season. Mr Noah Slade.
I smile and hug him. It's our first time shooting on a f1 weekend.
For me it's strange watching the drivers walking past, some do stop by and chat.
Our show runners are handing our schedules and what is expected of us all. They are so rigid in what we can and can't do.
"So y/n, you will be filming in a room, in the Mercedes hospitality... they've given us really strict timings.. so please be there and ready." I nod my head and try not to stress out.
But it also means I get to watch from the Mercedes garage every sort of racing. I get taken to the garage and get to see the cars and meet both George and Kimi. Alongside most of the mechanics and engineers.
I love meeting Bono.. my favourite engineer of all time. Which would automatically mean I should love Kimi. Right? But driver wise I love Lando. But doesn't everyone.
As the new leads, we have had the announcement of the cast months ago, but now we are actually filming the series, the media are going crazy for it. I try and stick to what I am supposed to be doing. Not wanting to be side tracked although watching the drivers do their media pen stuff and interacting with the fans is sweet to watch. Between wardrobe calls and scenes I get to watch a little of free practise beside my love, Bono. "I believe there is a young Italian over there wanting to meet you.. Kimi had mentioned that his sister loves the films you were in." Looking over where Kimi's family are standing watching the screens and watching Kimi out on track, I smile at the dark haired girl. "Noted. I will go and speak to her after this.. Promise."
I wait until Kimi is back beside them before I go and introduce myself and take some photos with Maggie and Kimi. I get invited out for dinner. But have to decline due to work schedules and other things I need to do. But I am slightly gutted as I'd have loved the opportunity.
I walk into the paddock a little worse for wear, after spending a night bawling my eyes out. Rumours of my now ex boyfriend had surfaced and it gutted me. I try and hide from everyone and use sunglasses. But of course I head in the same time as Kimi and Maggie. So I don't go as unnoticed as I would have preferred. "You okay?" Kimi asks me. I nod my head, as I can barely talk as it is and need my voice for the scenes I need to film. I hide away from as many people as I can. Even in the Mercedes hospitality, I get a tea and hide out in the space for the team. I hear a little knock at the door. "Yeah?" I answer the door, expecting the make up team or something but no. Its Kimi himself.
"Maggie seen the break up situation.. Mama wants to check in on you. So I said I would do it.." I shrug at him. He sweetly opens his arms to me and engulfs me in a hug when I step closer to him. "It's mortifying. I feel like such an idiot." He shakes his head at me. "No you not, he is. If he doesn't see your potential. Come out and see my Mama and Maggie. Please don't be alone." He pulls me out with him, out to where his family are. Not dropping my hand even as his Mum hugs me.
Even after the weekend, Kimi is texting me. Checking up on me. Seeing how filming is going. He takes such a genuine interest in what is going on. He even watches me film a couple scenes at a supposed ball that the drivers go too. "You should come to one of the galas with me, see if the filmed one is similar." I nod my head in agreement with him, not even fully thinking this could be one massive rumour.
Until I go to it.
Even with signing the NDA's, I can already tell that photos will get out. The one that gets circulated the most, is one of Kimi and I, with some of the other drivers and it's been circulated the most due to how Kimi is looking at me.
I post it on my stories due to it being cute, not overly thinking of how he is looking at me. But more so the fact that he has me smiling again.
But the rumours are swirling quicker than Kimi can drive.
The more time I spend with him, the happier I get. But I do notice the looks, the sweet touches he does.. Even just sweet gestures he does like getting me a coffee or a tea. Then the paddock passes start for races I am not due to film at.
Until it becomes blaringly obvious... He

My birthday.
A card and flowers arrive at my London apartment. I had already mentioned to Kimi in passing that I wasn't looking forward to it. I had not long finished up filming for Dirty air, so life was quiet again.
