The first thing Seul Gi noticed about Chaehwa High was that nobody looked ordinary.
Even the students walking through the halls carried themselves differently.
Perfect uniforms.
Perfect grades.
Perfect smiles.
Everything felt like a competition.
Seul Gi kept her head down as she walked through the unfamiliar hallway.
She had transferred in under circumstances she didn't completely understand herself.
And now everyone knew she was here.
"The transfer student."
"That's her."
"I heard she came from-"
The whispers followed her.
She pretended not to hear them.
Then she saw a group of girls standing near the classroom.
And in the middle of them was Yoo Je Yi.
Seul Gi had heard her name before she'd even met her.
The school's top student.

Je Yi was laughing with her friends when her eyes suddenly moved toward Seul Gi.
The smile on her face disappeared.
