CHAPTER ONE
Tsunade walked toward their meeting spot, humming happily, accompanied by Shizune and their pet, Tonton.
When she arrived, she saw that the rest of the group had already arrived and taken their seats. While waiting for their food and drinks to arrive, Sakura looked around.
"Where is Naruto?"
"I don't know," someone answered.
"Ah, Kakashi-sensei is here. You're late, sensei," Sakura scolded.
Kakashi took a seat beside Yamato.
"Ma, Sakura. I'm here, aren't I? And I'm not the only one who's late."
"Don't worry about Naruto. He's always late, so what's the point?" Shikamaru said, yawning.
Tsunade immediately drank her sake and hiccupped.
She slammed her glass down on the table, making everyone flinch and look at her worriedly.
Then she suddenly began laughing.
"Ts-Tsunade-sama?" Shizune called nervously.
"I have an idea."
"Wh-what is it, Tsunade-sama?"
"Hehe... I actually found one of Jiraiya's seals useful~"
Tsunade rummaged through her robe.
"What kind of seal exactly?" Tenten asked, becoming curious.
"The seal that lets us hear conversations from, for example, the room beside us."
Tsunade pulled out a small seal.
"I didn't know one day, one of the seals he worked on would become useful. Hic!"
She waved the seal from side to side.
"I don't think we can-"
Before Shizune could stop her, Tsunade had already placed the seal on the wall connecting their room to the one beside them.
There was nothing at first.
Then-
Bzzzzzt!
A buzzing sound came from the seal.
Everyone went silent.
A moment later, the sound of a voice came through.
A voice that was way too familiar to all of them.
They stared at each other.
"..."
Who were they listening to?
